What brand of moisturizer would you recommend...?
To a woman in her late 40s, who has sensitive skin due to a lot of skin-peels in when she was younger? My mom is seeking the perfect moisturizer for her dry skin. When she tries out something, she either feels a burning/tingling feeling or breaks out the next day. Please help!

To someone who owns this kind of truck: I would like to know what that speaker-looking thing above the driver's head is. Is it a speaker, a fan(??), OnStar-related part, or something else? We're clueless.
1 AnswerCar Audio1 decade agoPermanent resident going on vacation...?
My husband is a US citizen, I'm a permanent resident, and we have 3 young children (all born here in the US). I've never been back to Philippines since I got here in 2003. We want to go on vacation in the Philippines, but I'm worried that I might have to go through Immigrations and all that. I plan to apply for US citizenship, but not anytime soon (it's expensive). Can somebody share their experience or info on what actually takes place?
5 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoIkea toddler bedsheets question...?
I love Ikea children's bedding--- colors are so vibrant and cheery. I have a regular crib mattress and I was wondering if their sheets would fit, or only Ikea kids' mattresses. :[
3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoDoes thinking burn calories?
I know for sure that the body uses some energy even when we're at rest (in order to breathe, digest, and do other involuntary movements). I'm just curious to know if thinking (like doing homework or doing basic accounting) makes us burn calories, compared to just sitting and watching TV. What do you think? :)

1 AnswerWords & Wordplay1 decade agoHep. B shot during pregnancy: good or bad?
I just had a Hepatitis B shot this afternoon. Late this evening, my husband and I decided to check to see if I am pregnant because I haven't had my period in weeks (and because he couldn't wait for me to test in the morning). It came out positive, and now I'm wondering if it would do any harm. I'm probably 6-8 weeks prego.
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoDo you find any similarities in the Koran and the Bible?
I am Catholic, so I am familiar with the Bible but never read the Koran. We used to have one, a gift from an uncle. (He converted to Islam but we could never really talk about religion because Grandma is a devout Catholic)
I watched "Inside the Koran" on NatGeo today and I noticed that the Koran is interpreted in more ways than one, just like the Bible. Different countries or different sects have their own take on the Koran because of their culture. Christianity has different sects too, and they interpret the Bible teachings how they want to (we have the Mormons, Jehova's Witnesses, Adventists, Born-Again Christians).
At this moment, I think Allah who appeared before Muhammad and our God is One and the same. I don't mean to be rude to our Muslim friends on Yahoo!Answers by this, it's just how I feel about our different yet similar (in some ways) religions.
What do you think?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat to say to this girl...?
There's this young girl (fresh from highschool) in our class who made a REALLY bad comment about homosexuals and we were infuriated! We were discussing HIV/AIDS and how it turns out that they are more likely to get it when they don't protect themselves and change partners often. Soo she asks, "How are gay men able to reproduce when they're both male? Wouldn't it be good if they all had AIDS and die off from it and there would be no more gays?" I have never heard of such ignorance first-hand in my entire life!!! She must think that homosexulas are a whole different species of mankind and must be eradicated like pests! (What the hell did she learn in school all these years?) She even acts like there's nothing wrong with what she said. She's lucky she made this comment in class, and not at work, or else her boss would fire her *** off right away.
Can we get anything out of reporting her to the college? She made us really uncomfortable in class and obviously made discriminatory statements that none of us appreciated.
1 AnswerLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoWhat was that about?
I posted a message on a Yahoo group I belong to. I said my son needed to see a dermatologist and if any one would recommend one in our area. This woman emails me and says that she doesn't have one but needs to see one too. She asked me if it's eczema that's troubling my little one. So I replied--- I said "yes, it is." And I went on explaining the regimens I've tried and what I'm hoping for. She emails me back "[...] I feel dizzy. I just read that you have a name--- silly me I need to take a nap."
She ASKED and I answered, thinking that she has the same concerns and would probably share a thing or two.
6 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoDoes any one have a baby that refuses to eat baby food?
My 6 month old loves to gnaw at his toys and I've introduced him to rice cereal a month ago (once or twice a day). Now he refuses to eat anything, but would fight to grab the spoon from me and try to chew it. He doesn't like his teething biscuits either. He is still breastfed and enjoys drinking from a regular cup (no sippy cups yet).
Should I try giving him the Greber puffs now? They melt easily and he might enjoy practice chewing on them. What do you think?
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWon't my turtle get tired of swimming all night?
We bought a red-ear slider today and put him in our 55gal tank. In order for the overhead pump to work, the water level needed to be high (filled 3/5 of the tank). So we stacked up our slates as high as we could so he could have a surface above the water but it's still submerged by an inch or so.
Well, I haven't seen him get on it yet, will he? I'm afraid he'll get exhausted of swimming around and up for oxygen.
Should I keep the uv light on all night or turn it off to signal him to go rest?
I'm getting worried.

1 AnswerOther - Education1 decade agoHow do/did you treat your child's eczema?
Both of my kids (a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old) have eczema. I've tried trimacinolone on my first whne he was a baby, but it was too strong and dried up his skin even more. Now I'm just using hydrocortisone to relieve the itching so he wouldn't scratch. My 6-month-old has it around his mouth and it's red. I'm using California Baby wash and the lotion and some Aquaphor to seal it in. I'm not sure it's helping. His skin is really dry still. Any suggestions?
