  • Need to quit marijuana for graduation. What's the easiest way to get heavy duty pain killers instead?

I have an impinged shoulder, and the pain is absolutely awful. I can't afford pt, so don't even suggest it. I tried the stretches at home and only got more pain, so now I'm just treating it like chronic pain I will have to live with.

Except I can't without some kind of pain killer. Ibuprofen does not cut it. I use marijuana currently and it does cut it. But now I have to quit.

I'm going to need something as it's hard to fall asleep with the pain, and I have trouble concentrating when it gets bad.

What is the easiest way to obtain super pain killer while I have to take a break from marijuana? I need like opiods or something, but I'm afraid if I go to the doctor they'll just prescribe pt. Which I can't afford. If that's all theyll do I won't waste my money on the visit even.

    Thoughts?

  • Alternatives to marijuana for chronic pain, chronic migraines AND anxiety?

I have to quit because I m graduating soon. I fully plan to start again after securing a job but for now I m going to need something.

Some context, I have severely debilitating migraines, to the point of auras, nose bleeds and vomitting. I tried a handful of prescription drugs before finding marijuana and they sucked.

I have chronic shoulder pain, it s so bad I often need a hit or two just to fall asleep. Ibuprofen just doesn t cut it sometimes.

And anxiety. I was on every depression medication as a kid and they pretty much just made me suicidal. So I ve never tried anxiety meds.

So my plan is to maybe see a doctor and get some replacement drugs for now. What can I expect? Would it even be possible to just get one drug to help with all three problems??? I really dont want three new drugs. (I already take 3, and 6 would just be rediculous. Im only 25 for petes sake. Will they just give me opiods?

    I m open to non-prescription options too.

  • How can I stop wanting an engagement ring?

I've read articles on why we need to stop using them as a society, how they're like shackles. I've seen Adam ruins everything on how they're a scam. I've read comments about how ridiculous it would be if a man demanded his girlfriend buy her a $5000 TV before marring her. I've seen ads, I've looked for alternatives. I know they're unethical. Deep down I know it won't really determine the success of a marriage, and I know he loves me. For me. No matter what.

    But...

    I still want one.

Only now I feel bad about wanting one.

I've done some soul searching and the biggest reason I do want one: validation.

Yes, I as a woman want to be validated. Why is that so wrong? I want my friends and family to know I'm worth it. I want my coworkers to be jealous of my rock, and I want assholes on the street to know I'm taken.

I know, just get a cheaper one. Seems like the easy answer, but then I feel cheap. Illogical, I know. I've compromised with myself already. It can be used, it can be lab created, it can be a different stone. But dammit it can't be cheap! He makes a lot of money. And to be honest, he's spent more money this year already on his computer than most people spend on a ring. A cheap ring at this point tells me he cares more about his screen resolution to crush noobs than he cares about me. (Again illogical, I know. )

I'm just wondering if anyone has any new advice oh how I could just make myself get over wanting one?

  • Why are guys so resistant to commitment these days?

I do everything for him. We've been together for years, and every time I bring up marriage or children, he thinks I'm being rediculous. It may be slightly my fault for dating someone a year and a half younger than me. But I'm not getting any younger, and with his life plan of paying off all our debts, including our house, then saving up to travel together, then saving up for a ring, then getting married, then having children. By the time he's ready I'll be ancient. It's really pissing me off, but I love him, he's my stupid soul mate. Our friends are completely jealous of how amazing our relationship is. Most people assume we're married when they meet us. We have a house, good jobs, we're best friends. I don't get what his stupid problem is, and I hate that this ball is in his court. I've literally thought about buying the damn ring myself and giving it to him and telling him, "here! All you have to do is think of/or Google a slightly creative or surprising way to give this back to me." But he'd still probably wait until I'm grey and infertile.

What do I do to knock the responsibility into him?

  • He said not ready and I am. Should I just "accidentally" miss my birth control?

I ve been with my boyfriend for three years. Things are amazing. But... no ring, and even worse, he wants to wait about a decade for babies.

And sure waiting is good? Ino most cases I would agree, however I have a condition that will make conceiving very difficult, and the doctor said if I haven t had a baby by 27, my chances are next to 0.

I m 25 now, and I feel I can t just keep waiting for him to be ready.

We just bought a house together, we re financially fine. The only reason we re not married is my insistence on the fancy ring and ceremony. (I m not asking to spend a fortune. My requirements are quite small: ring, dress, flowers, photographer. That s it.) But as stubborn as I am, he s just as stubborn not to get ripped off buying a diamond. )

That s not the real issue here. I m not hung up on marriage so much.

However if I need to have kids within 2 years, and he wants to wait a decade, should I just make this decision for us?

He cares very deeply for me, and I can t see him leaving because of an accident.

If he was OK with adoption I d be more inclined to wait. But he wants them to be his kids. He knows about my health concerns and believes we ll just be able to use science to conceive, but the costs of invitro, or using a surrogate are rediculous.

So what do you think, should I just stop using my birth control and he ll just have to get ready?

  • He wants anal sex, on him and I think it's gross and weird. Are we doomed?

My boyfriend of nearly 3 years has recently started wanted anal sex. Done to him with a strap on. When we started dating, we had tried it, and I really didn't like it, so he dropped it.

But lately he's been after it again. I'm not worried he's gay or anything. After research, it looks like a fairly common thing for guys to like their prostate stimulated.

But I think it's gross when we do it, and I get nothing from it with a strap on. Last time we didn't have normal sex after because he came with his hands while I used the strap on.

I suggested anal plugs instead so we could still have sex, but he says it wouldn't be the same.

Can we have a lasting relationship if I can't do this for him?

  • Can you puke from getting a pill stuck in your throat overnight?

Last night when I took my pills it felt like one may not have gone down right. Maybe it was stuck. I m not sure, but I drank water and couldn t get the feeling to go away. I went to bed anyways, because it was only slightly uncomfortable. Then in the morning I had the same feeling, but with some heartburn too.

So I thought eating would help. I ate a whole bowl of cheerios with some coffee. Then after a few minutes, for like no reason I vomited it all up.

I m not sick, so I m wondering if it was the pill stuck or something? You d think puking would dislodge it, but I still kinda have the discomfort in my throat. Though, no more puking yet.

  • I have prediabetes, how can i force that to become diabetes?

No one takes prediabetes seriously. I cant make anyone in my life understand how sick i am. I have every stupid symptom of diabetes but the doctors all say I'm only prediabetic. The doctors wont do a thing about my symptoms.

I need to know the quickest way to get diabetes so people will actually help me. Because i suspect it will take an insulin shot to the *** for anyone to actually care that I'm really sick.

  • How much of a deal should a parent give their kid on a house?

My boyfriends parents want him to buy a half of a duplex they own. They said they wanted to make it "worth his while" but their asking price doesn't seem that fair to me.

They have this piece of paper from their taxes that says the house is worth 176,000, and they want him to pay 165,000. That's only a savings of 11k.

Also I know they tried to sell it a year ago for 170k, but ended up taking off the market because it wouldn't sell at that price.

Also zillow.com and realtor.com give the house a value of closer to 160k.

It seems like his parents are not only not giving him a deal, but almost ripping him off a little.

What do you think a fair price would be? Or how much of a deal should a parent give their kid?

A few other facts to consider- his mom still owes 106k on it.

His step dad is a doctor making 6 figures, and I know that they have their current home paid off.

This house isn't even ideal for us. It's just us two, and it's a three bedroom house. If it wasn't for their offer on this house, we'd probably be looking at 1 or 2 bedrooms closer to the 100k amount.

  • Heart is acting up, can't go to the doctor- what could I be doing/should I be doing to help?

I'm 23 and not the healthiest. Thought I was diabetic but wasted a ton of money at the doctors to find out I'm not.

I am overweight bmi of 32, down from 39 though in less than 2 years.

Last few days my heart has been beating funny. Like fluttery or hard I'm not sure how to describe them. From what webmd tells me, sounds like palpitations. They stopped today, but now my chest feels tight and hurts. And I feel winded just sitting down doing nothing.

I know the obvious- go to the doctor! well I just can't. I've made a conscious decision that I'd rather go in peace now, than live a life in debt. The tests alone would bankrupt me. I just can't. I still owe thousands on an MRI that didn't tell me anything.

Webmd says it could be anything from anxiety attacks, heart attack or pregnancy.

Well considering my current stress levels thats probably all it is.

So my question what should i be doing?

I've already alterred my diet quiet a bit.... eating as healthy as I can atm, oatmeal and salad pretty much.

Should I be excersizing or resting? which is better? seems like too vigorous of excersize could make it stop. but if it's a clot of some kind wouldn't excersize help?

Any special foods? drinks? (green tea is my primary drink of choice.)

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

  • What does signing an email "your court," mean?

I recently started exchanging business emails with someone who is helping me out... The lasts one I received was signed, "Your Court." I cannot remember what this means if anything. I keep thinking of courting, like in pursuing someone romantically... But maybe I've just read one too many romance books.

    What does signing,

    Your Court,

    Mean?

  • Are cats who've been caged more friendly/cuddly?

I have two cats, who practically avoid me. They love to play and love me playing with them. But they will not come when called, they never sit on my lap, rarely tolerate being pet, never tolerate being picked up, and do not sleep in bed with me.

The only thing I can think is that we got them from a family and they were never caged. Whenever I go to the humane society or petco, the kitties nuzzle, purr, cuddle and want to be held. And it seems like it might be more because they were caged.

Has their been any research done on this?

  • why has no one ever talked about a maximum wage?

question: why has no one ever talked about a maximum wage?

On the bottom we have a minimum wage, to prevent us from making too little, why is their not anything from preventing people from making too much? And yes their is such a thing as too much. It could even be a generous maximum, say $5 million. Anything after that would automatically go to schools, healthcare, and food. If you make $5,000,000 a year, and you're finding that that is not enough, seriously go kill yourself. I don't care what you invented, what you run, how many employees you have, none of that matters. I would bet everything I have that the average minimum wage employee works immensely harder than those people making millions and billions.

  • Why is their not a single recipe for pork ribs that does not involve brown sugar or bbq?

Ok, so grandma gave me a bunch of meat and I'm trying to figure out how to cook it all. So one of the packages contains a small rack of pork ribs...

I'm trying to find a good recipe to cook them with.

I HATE bbq, and I HATE sweet meat. It's disgusting.

So I need a recipe that does not involve bbq or any kind of sugar.

Also it would be an extra double bonus if the recipe was for a slow cooker as grandma also just bought me one and wants me to use it.

And it would be an extra triple double bonus if the recipe didn't call for too many obscure ingredients or spices as I'm a college kid and a.) don't have many ingredients, and b.)don't have much money to go buy any.

  • Is it legal to get a notification that you have to pay +400 $ in less than a week or you have to go to court?

Got a letter that owed money at the hospital, it was the FIRST time hearing about it, a bill from the hospital that we had no clue about....

Got it last wednesday saying if it wasn't paid off by 9a.m. monday, we'd have to go to court for it tuesday. Tomorrow.

The letter was lost in the mail... But still is their anything legally we can do? We couldn't come up with the money in less than a week, but we really don't want to pay all the legal fines because this thing that we didn't know about is going to court....

    Please help!

  • Need weight loss now or else. How do I do it?

Ok, I'm done, I've been literally dieting for years. I don't have time for measuring food or excersizing, besides I'm depressed as all heck (mostly because of my weight) so I simply can't mess around with that crap./

If I'm overweight much longer I know I'm going to tip over the edge. I've thought about killing myself pretty much every day for the last year. I've made at least a half dozen half- arsed attempts at it in the last few months. I wrote a note and tried really hard earlier this week, but I can't seem to get the guts to ever go through with it...

So if I don't loose the weight like now. And my BMI is 39 so I have over 100 lbs to loose. So yea if it's not gone asap, I'll be gone end of story.

So I don't care how drastic it is, I mean I'm already researching how to get a tape worm and crap.

What works and works fast because I only have a few days maybe weeks to get it right.

  • Where to get a "makeover?"?

So I always see on shows how girls get awesome makeovers, like on americas next top model.

Everytime I go to a salon, theyre like, "what do you want?" and Im like as if I know what would look good with my face style.

So is their a specific chain of salons that does makeovers or at least cut hair according to what they think would look good?

  • Where can you buy silk/satin sheets?

    Hello,

I'm looking to replace the set of satin sheets I have. I got them from JC penny and they barely lasted at all. The stitching is coming apart and it has all those little bumpy snags.

I was wondering where I might find different ones. (I know you can buy true silk ones for hundreds of dollars, but I'm hoping to find some that are a little more reasonable.)

Also I'm fine with online shopping.
