  • Extreme headache?

I have a headache on the right side of my head, pinpointed near what you could call the back corner of my skull. Pain is radiating out from there to the entire right side.

I feel pressure behind my right eye and net lightheaded and dizzy, even black out a little like I might faint, if I stand up fast.

    Advil isn't helping.

    Any recommendations?

  • Question about plot?

I'm trying to write a novel and was curious as to how other writers go about plot. Do they know everything that's going to happen before they write or do they wing it and go with their flow?

  • My cat has sores on her neck and behind her ears?

I've noticed them just recently in the areas where she sometimes scratches herself (not persistently). I think this may be because her nails are too sharp, but is that possible?

Her normal scratching post used carpeting and over the past four years she has worn it down to the wood used to make it. We are in the process of getting her a new one.

I was just wondering if this was the cause or if there is other action I need to take to get rid of these small scabs?

  • How do I adjust my camera settings?

I have recently purchased a Sony Nex-5 camera but I have never owned anything but a point and shoot. I love photography and want to get more creative with it, but all the "help" forums use fancy lingo I don't understand. I am specifically looking for how to adjust my camera for astrophotography. Thank you!

  • Writing advice?

I am writing a sic-fi, dystopian world short story that will possibly involve talking rabbits... how do I present this without it coming across as silly or childish.

  • Newbie writing troubles?

    Hello fellow writers!

I love to write and I am often praised for what I write. However, when writing fiction, or anything that isn't an assignment, I can't think of a plot, only an idea for a story.

How do you go about putting a plot together and how much do you just come up with as you go to fill in holes?

    Thank you so much!

  • Tooth problem?

Hello! I am sixteen and I recently went to a band camp where I would play my french horn about five hours a day for five days (more than I ever have or normally do). This was two weeks ago.

I say all of that because since then, one of my "two front teeth" on the bottom side of my mouth has been very slightly loose. Not visibly, but I can feel it. I feel no pain and there has been no bleeding. Nothing is visibly wrong with the tooth.

I was wondering if I should be concerned?

    What do I do?

    Thank you so much

  • dented french horn?

I was in band rehearsal and someone ran by and knocked my french horn to the ground. There's a dent and I am wondering if it is repairable. If so, how much will it cost?

The horn is a Conn 8d.

If you think of yourself holding a horn, the dent is at the bottom of the instrument (about 12 inches from the start of the bell).

The dent is around two inches long, give or take.

Is this dent fixable or is my mother going to have to kill me?

    Thank you so much!

  • What is this job called?

I have always loved music, specifically the music in the background of movies (they are called the film's score) as well as editing (like in iMovie and other programs).

So I was wondering, what is the title of the person who edits film scores into the film? Who puts all of that together?

How can I get into that career?

    Thank you so much!

  • French Horn Newbie???

I just started playing the french horn a few weeks ago after my freshmen band class needed a french horn. I switched from trumpet, so it was easy for me to pick up. The only issue is with my embouchure. I use my bottom lip a lot more than my top, even though I know that's not how you are supposed to do it. I can still hit the higher notes pretty easily, and it was the same way I played my trumpet (I was first chair). Should I try to fix that or is it ok if I don't? Thank you!!

  • Is it too late to learn piano?

I'm 16 and would really love to play piano. Is it too late for that. I already play french horn, flute, and trumpet. I'm really good at typing, although I'm sure that doesn't matter. If it isn't too late, how do I start learning?

  • 10 points! Hunger games related?

I know that all of the industries are mentioned in the books eventually, but which ones are mentioned in the first book? I need to do a project on the first book only, and it's asking me about only the industries from the first book. Thank you so much!

  • What to read????????????????

Hey! Sorry this is kind of a pathetic question, which of these books should I read first? The options are: Under the Never Sky, Across the Universe, or Delirium. Or if you have any better suggestions I will read almost anything.

  • Convincing my parents to let me go to Germany. Help!?

Hi! I'm going to be a freshman and I just received a letter from my german teacher saying he was impressed with how well I did this year in his class. He asked if I could go on a trip with him and other classmates to Germany for 16 days. Of course my parents automatically shot me down. The trip is around this time next year and I want to go more than anything in the world! Are my parents right about not letting me go? I'm pretty responsible!! How can I convince them to let me go?
