  • How can a basketball player in Canada get a scholarship in the U.S?

So my dream is to play basketball in the NCAA. I'm not particulary the most flashiest player, the best scorer. I'm pretty good at defense and leading my team. I'm pretty much a pass first point guard. I'm the second best player on my team. Behind a guy who's 6'2 and is already made a name for himself throughout British Columbia. I'm still in 8th grade.

I know I'm pretty good at basketball because I have passion for it, I love to play it, and I've came up big during my cities playoffs. We made it all the way to the cities finals. I scored 23 points. My coaches say I'm a really smart and good player. But lost. On a side note, I'm only 5'3

So I'm wondering how I can get a division one or 2 basketball scholarship to a college or university in the U.S. I'm considering the University of Washington. Their basketball team is okay. It's only about a 3 hour drive from my place. So how can I make it there. I will say flat out I will work really hard to go to that school or any other school that has a ball team in the NCAA.

And would you guys tell me how to become an even better basketball player. I know there's millions on grade 8's who are way better then me. Can you link me drills and such on how to become a better player. I usually play everyday. Thank you.

  • What haircut should I get?

I'm looking for something short, I have straight, thick hair. I got a number 2 all around numerous times in my life, but it doesn't look good on me anymore. I'm thinking of getting a fauxhawk, but then again. My hair grows really fast. I want short hair, BUT NOT TOO SHORT. Any suggestions? I swear glasses btw. Thank you

  • Spurs or Miami? Game 7.?

Give me an elaborate answer, I'm taking Spurs on this one, they deserve it the most. Whenever I watch Heat games they always get the calls and end up winning, I'm sorry but it's true. No hate answers nor complains.

  • Basketball Jumpshot help?

I'm having trouble with my jumpshot (I release with two hands, but release where it's supposed to, I don't push it, and I hold it properly, I pretty much do everything correctly. It's pretty much like this guy(Ray Allen) http://youtu.be/rPWtdEDUS80

The problem is, I'm thinking should I change my jumpshot. In the video you can see as soon he releases the ball, his guide hand floats off the ball just a little. Which creates the right amount of power and consistency with the ball. I have his jumpshot but it's that I release the ball with two hands. But everything else is perfect (Form, release, hand positions) But sometimes it's too much power and in the corners it goes sideways. Should I change it? I'm still consistent with my current jumpshot. Do you think it's worth it to change my jumpshot?

Thank you and please check out the video so you can get a clear view of my jumper.
