It's for a character I want to describe but I'm running out of adjectives to do so. This was one thing that popped into my head about him but I can't think of a good word to get across my meaning. For example, he's hardworking at work but that's only because he knows he's getting a paycheck for it. While at school, he's lazy, half-asses the work or doesn't do it at all because there's no instant gratification for it; no paycheck. He won't often do something unless it involves getting something in return for it.

I had a virus on my computer, after fixing it and getting my desktop back in order I found that my computer would suddenly lag and seemed to be constantly loading nothing. After several virus checks that came up with nothing, I pulled up task manager and found Svchost.exe loading up almost 400,000k of memory. So I ended it, and went to youtube. Suddenly I found that my speakers weren't working but my computer said they were fine. Confused, I rebooted and before Svchost could overload again, my speaker worked just fine. Then stopped once more after I ended Svchost. Not only that but Svchost would come back up again and overload.

I've looked up several memory leak fixes for Svchost, including the Microsoft update. Every one of them that I have tried, including disabling automatic updates, hasn't fixed my issue. I'm at a loss here, has anyone had this problem and/or know how to fix it? I can't load up a webpage without it crashing on me. Forget even watching a video or listening to music.

From August of 2009 to August of 2010 I lived in Vermont. After that I returned back to my hometown in RI and switched my permanent address back to RI as well. The job I held in Vermont could not transfer me over to the department in RI, so I told them I would quit and find another job. Come to find out that I was put on a furlow (sp?) instead. I took up another job when I moved to RI when three months later in December of 2010 I finally got that transfer to the same job. I've been working there since.

When I went to pick up my W-2 the other day, I received two. At first I didn't think much of it, I don't know much about my taxes anyway. I'm still kind of young and my Mother has an easier time doing my taxes in a quick and orderly fashion than I would trying to do so. Come to find out, my employer had me somehow still as a Vermont resident. On one W-2 it says all my wages were made in RI, obviously. But there are no taxes, state or federal, taken out. On the other one, all my taxes were paid to Vermont but no wages were made.

My mother attempted just to plug in those numbers into Turbo Tax but the program would have none of me paying taxes to a state I haven't lived in, in over a year. As it stands, even if Turbo Tax would allow her to file the taxes as they were I'm getting absolutely nothing back because of it. How do I even go about getting this fixed? I don't even know where to begin trying to get this corrected.

Well, actually my psychotic cats did, but that's besides the point.

There was a game inside when it fell, not once but twice. Not from a significant height but fell nonetheless. The console still works just fine and the disc reads when I put it in. Nothing appears to be damaged on either the disc nor the console but before it can get to the New Game/Load Game screen is gets a black screen that says There has been an error, eject disc and turn off power. Try again in a few minutes or something along those lines.

Well I've tried again, several times in fact. Some times it gets further than other times but inevitably I get the black screen. Anyone know how to fix it? Unfortunately the game isn't something I can easily replace so I'm hoping to fix it above all other options.

My kitten Virid is six months now. His bottom teeth have fallen out and new, bigger ones have grown in. It seems that he hasn't quite grown into them yet as whenever he's done eating, playing, grooming, etc. he'll close his mouth only to find his bottom right tooth has caught on his lip. It'll then take him a couple tries of opening and closing his mouth to get the tooth all the way in. Now he's got a small wound in the area.

I'm just wondering if this could be something serious, or he'll just grow into it and be fine. If so, in the meantime is there anything I can do to soothe the wound on his lip. I was thinking peroxide, at least to disinfect it but it's so close to his mouth I don't want to risk it. Could I possibly put some unflavored vaseline on it to soothe it? Any suggestions help, thanks.

I have a boyfriend, we are sexually active but not anytime recently. I just moved to another state and haven't had sex since mid August, except yesterday but he pulled out and finished in the toilet since we didn't have a condom on hand.

My period was regular when I first moved, then the month after (third week in Sept) it was unusually short and lasted only a few hours. I thought it was strange so I bought a three pack of early pregnancy tests and they came up negative. In October I missed my period completely, but that happens often since I eat a lot of salty things and get depressed easily so I dismissed it. Now today I came home from work at 8pm and noticed I was starting my period and put in a tampon, I just check it (six hours later) and there isn't a drop of blood. Can I be pregnant and not know? Wouldn't there be other symptoms by now? Can it just be caused by my depression? I'm terrified and confused right now.

My PSP is acting a little funky when headphones or speakers are plugged in, I'm wondering if this is fixable?

Yesterday I was walking towards my car and the headphones got caught on the door handle of my front door. It yanked the headphones out of the jack but thankfully not my PSP out of my pocket. (I bought a heavy plastic casing since I'm prone to dropping the poor thing anyway. Best 20 bucks I've spent in my life.) Tangents aside, when I plugged my headphones back in the sound echoed and though both the speakers worked it sounded like one side of the sound was so much quieter than the other.

At first I thought it was my headphones but when I tried two other known working pairs as well as my room-mate's car speakers the sound still is like that. Is it fixable, can I send it in to Sony and they'll repair it or even fix it myself? Or is it a lost cause?

My three-year-old female parakeet Bedlam died the other day.

I thought they lived longer than that?

My mom had checked on her the other day and then came in two or three hours later and she was slumped on her side on the bottom of the cage. Now my male parakeet is completely miserable without her; he won't sing, doesn't do anything, all he does now is sit in the corner of the cage.

I was wondering if it had something to do with my mom having taken away the egg she laid a couple days ago. She usually lays them even though there's no nest, which was always strange to me, and as usual she laid one and mom got rid of it. She didn't die because of that did she?

I always keep them fed and with plenty of water. I give them vitamin supplements along with the seed mix because I know it doesn't give them enough nutrients. Why did she die...?

I'm doing a little character development for once of my fictional characters and she's quite the chatterbox. I need an affectionate nickname for her that isn't rude or condescending but my brain just won't function. I don't want to call her chatterbox, which is all I can think of right now. Any ideas? Preferably either English nicknames or Japanese since that's her nationality and primary language (English being her second language).

I bought a male Parakeet last Christmas and then read online that they were social animals so I set out to buy him a friend intending to get a male. The woman at Petco assured me it was a male, and now come to to find he is really a she and has been laying eggs. I wasn't worried because Tag didn't seem to have an interest in her and there was no nest so the eggs were infertile and she'd eventually eat them.

Now she's incubating the egg and I don't have the knowledge, time or money to raise the little babies. What do I do? I couldn't bring her back its been over a year plus they get along well so I thought it would devastate him if I suddenly removed her completely. Should I separate them so they won't have babies and what do I do with the egg and probably more eggs to come that she's laying now?

I feel horrible now, I never should've listened to that lady from Petco I thought it was a girl but she insisted it was a girl so I took her word for it.

I'm fostering a litter of five kittens. The one I'm talking about is a rambunctious little female named Bug who's usually on my ceiling if I'd let her get that far. She'll chase anything and everything that moves and seems to love chasing my feet for that matter.

I slept longer than usual today because they had kept me up literally all night (thankfully I don't have work) and so I left my A/C on since in the day time it gets extremely hot. She actually woke me up with a soft meow and I let all five of them out of their cage (so they won't tear up my room while I'm asleep).

I usually pick them up one by one and snuggle them a bit before putting them on my floor to run around, normally she wiggles to get out of my hand but this time she didn't do anything and when I put her down she climbed onto a shirt near my bed and went to sleep. She's been sleeping since, not moving unless I pick her up and just sleeping again where ever I put her down. She didn't eat and she hasn't drank anything. Mom says she thinks its a cold but there's no runny eyes or snots or sneezing. What's wrong with my little Bug?

It's just normal all purpose dog and puppy tearless shampoo. It doesn't say not for cats but I figured since it was ok for puppies it would be ok for kittens. See I'm fostering 5 kittens and since they were caught outside they've got dirt and whatnot under their nails. Every time they play with each other they get rough and one got an abscess. The abscess healed but now another kitten has one. I know it's from the junk under their nails when they play so I wanted to bathe them. It would reduce the chance of them getting more abscess's especially because they're tame and almost ready to go to the shelter.

It's my first time buying a tablet, I want to work with my drawings on photoshop/illustrator but I'm not sure which tablet to buy. I want one I can work with easily, w/ pressure sensativity, fairly cheap but decent quality. I don't want to overkill it so I definetely don't need a super expensive one with a million different features.
