  • Breast milk question?

I am not exclusively breastfeeding, but I tried expressing some into a bottle and could hardly get any. I only got MAYBE half an ounce :/... Does anyone know if just that tiny amount will give baby any antibodies or benefits at all?

I know I can continue trying to express and everything but i can't for personal reasons and I DO NOT want to increase my supply or anything. im just wondering could this little amount be beneficial at all?

  • Am I the only one that finds this a little rude?

I know ill probably get a couple rude comments for this question but I'm not trying to "stir the pot" or anything.

But, am I the only person that finds it almost rude and/or irritatin when women who cannot conceive or are currently trying to, shame a pregnant girl for saying certain things?

Like, if she complains about her pregnancy(the pain or the morning sickness etc.), they jump in and say things like "I just wish I could go through it, I wish I could get pregnant, etc.".

I definitely understand that it might hurt them that they can't have kids or having a hard time doing it, but why shame people by throwin your own problems at them and acting like they are horrible for their opinions On something they are going through? It's just rude the way some women phrase things, if I couldn't have kids I wouldn't be so open about it or shame people because of my own issues.

Again, I'm not trying to sound rude, I have sympathy for the women. Just not when they use it against people

  • Why do people assume counseling is the answer?

I constantly see people telling others to go to group therapy, or go talk to a doctor or get marriage counseling etc.. Why do people assume that because someone is sad, someone is afraid to do something, someone has had trouble in the past, etc, needs to talk to someone about it? I understand for some people it might help but it never helped me, why are doctors and prescriptions constantly turned to for the simplest reasons?

  • Do you believe that women who don't breastfeed aren't as good as the ones that do?

    Opinions on this pleAse.

-Do you think that women who choose not to breastfeed are selfish, irresponsible, heartless, bad mothers, etc? Or any of the above?

Also, do you honestly think that the mothers who choose not to BF are less family oriented, less educated, or don't care for their babies as much?

I'm pregnant with my first, and even before I got pregnant I knew it wasn't for me. I do know it is the best for my baby, but I also know(even though many people have tried telling me different) that formula is perfectly safe and healthy for my baby. It's second best to breast milk. So does this make me a horrible mother? Does this make me selfish, inconsiderate, unloving..? I am okay with the doctors and the nurses that ask if I'm going to and if I have info on it, but I'm not okay with the ones that start trying to persuade me. And I also don't understand how women who are not my doctors and don't know me can butt in on my parenting?

  • Stepparent adoption???

If a woman is raped by someone she doesn't know and has the baby, there would be no name on the birth certificate obviously and she didn't report it.

So, how would she go about having her husband, who has raised and supported the child since birth, adopt? I know you're supposed to have the bio parents permission but since she doesn't know who raped her, how would they do this in MN?

  • Telling rape conceived child about the father?

Did anyone tell the child from the very beginning? Obviously you don't want to tell a four year old that you were raped, they wouldn't understand. But what about saying something like your real father wasn't a good man, he hurt mom? So they grow up knowing the truth, not getting it thrown at them when they are old enough. I feel like telling them when they are older would hurt worse than them knowing from the start. Especially if they have a good father figure that is always there for them.

    Please no ignorant answers thanks

  • Personal stories, telling child the truth?

How did you tell your child that you were raped and got pregnant or how did you find out that you were a child of rape? Being honest would be the best way in my opinion but could anyone tell me how they found out the truth?

  • I want everyone addressed. 1.Abortion in the 1st trimester ends the development of a fetus that can not be con?

5.If the child is has developmental issues, u want the woman to carry it,have it,raise it even if she does not know how/is incapable of doing so?

6 If the woman does not have the money to take care if the baby, then what?Welfare? So ucan bash her for living off ur taxes?

  • Am I the only one who hates being pregnant?

I hate everything about being pregnant and I really hate when I say something and people tell me it's a beautiful thing to be getting fat, to be getting stretch marks, to have your boobs leaking milk for weeks, to have to go to the dr every few weeks and take a million tests and get poked by a bunch of needles. I hate being pregnant, I'm constantly uncomfortable and in pain. I hate the feeling of her moving inside me, it's weird and uncomfortable.

Ill make it clear that I'm ready to have this baby and I love her, but I hate the process I'm going through.

  • Hypocritical people about pregnancy?

People judge teen pregnancy and say that they are irresponsible and can't take care of a baby and they call the baby a mistake. But they use it as a punishment and say that they have to deal with it themselves ex. No abortion, no financial help, etc.

I do believe its your responsibility to care for the baby and I'm pro choice. I just don't understand how all these mature, wonderful, Christian mothers can sit here and say that their daughters made a huge mistake and they are stupid and they call the baby a mistake but then force their daughter through the pregnancy, not offering support.

What is wrong with you people?

  • After pregnancy weight loss?

I'm going to have the baby in March, (assuming she doesn't come early). And I would really like to be thinner and toned for summer which give me about two, maybe three, full months. Obviously I know I might not be able to get back to my before pregnancy weight but does anyone have any ideas for exercise that will help me lose weight and get more toned. NO DIET OR FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE. I know I need to eat healthy and all but this question is strictly about the exercise routines. Thanks in advance.

Btw, I weighed about 120 before I got pregnant and am at 137 now(30 weeks). I'm about 5'4.

  • Baby stuff: what am I missing?

I'm 24 weeks and Stocking up for baby girl #1 :).. Here's what I have so far: a crib with changing table, mobile, nightlight/noise and music thing, two diaper bags(one smaller and one normal), 6 bottles, a little swing, a bath seat thing, high chair, couple blankets and two recieving blankets, five wash clothes, bottle of lotion, a little cheap kit with thermometer and suction bulb thing and medicine spoon and dropper and nail clipper, one pack of newborn diapers, and about 350 wipes. Also a couple outfits and socks but I'm expecting lots of clothes as gifts so not too worried bout that.

Just wondering if you could name some things I don't have yet, like the less obvious things that people tend to overlook until they actually need it lol. Even if its just a bunch of random little things! Any advice helps for this first time mom!

  • Boyfriend adopting baby?

If there is no father on the birth certificate and no one knows who the father of the baby is, can a guy still adopt a baby as his own if he's with the mother? I know you're supposed to have permission from the bio dad but if there is no father to get permission from can it be done?

  • Pregnant and need advice?

Got my due date through ultrasound and thought i knew who the father would be. But, i got another ultrasound and they said my due date might be sooner meaning i might be firther along. I was raped and now im worried that there is a possibility it is his baby. Im keeping her obviously, no matter what and i know ill need a DNA test to know for sure. But, i wanted to know about what the possibility is because he didnt even finish but i know there is a possibility of pre ejaculation. My BF knows bout the rape and im not exactly sure how to bring this up to him again though because i dont think he even thought twice about the second due date possibility. Advice??

  • I need a little advice on visitation?

I'm a ftm and I'm 17. I don't want rude comments I just want advice and I tried babycenter but all they did was judge and tell me I'm not ready for a baby. Anyway I made the mistake of having sex with two guys too close together and not sure who's she is but they both know an understand what happened and I'm dating the second guy now. But if she is the first guys I want advice on how to help him through it because he's just never taken care of a baby or anything before and I'm a little concerned about leaving her alone with him at first. We aren't doing court(don't care what people say) the two of us have a great relationship and were still good friends. How can I help him and what kind of advice or help can I give him? Again, no rude or judging comments I made a mistake but I did not sleep with a hundred guys or anything so.. And I am ready to be a mom so don't say anything bout how I can't take care of my own child just because of my age

  • Will i know who the father ?

I dont know who the dad of my baby is. First of all, i had sex with one guy only one time around the time of conception but he didnt even finish. I really don't think it was him. (I know its possible but since it was only once and didn't last long the chance is slim right? ) There are two guys who i think it is, one of them is black and one is asian. Do you think ill know who it is just by looking at the baby when its born or do you think it will still be difficult to tell?

  • Advice on my work out?

I have lost a few pounds in the past few months but now that i am close to the goal i was aiming for, it doesn't seem like anything is changing. I can pretty much see the outline of my stomach but my workout doesn't seem to be toning at all. I can't figure out what else i can do.

    Age: 16. Weight: 116 pounds. Height: 5'3.

    My workout exercises:

Squats with weights, Push-ups, Crunches, Bicycle crunches, Reverse Crunches, wall sits, punch with weights. I usually do a couple reps of these a day plus working in a restraunt and regular activities.
