At the beginning of the Season I had the Hawks finishing between 6-10 I was hoping they would make the 8 but was not 100%.

What I have seen thus far was worse then I could have ever imagined, and I really can not think of a team which has played worst in the past 20 years then the Hawks have after winning a Premiership, I do not see them winning more then 2-3 games (At best) for the rest of the season so I am now 100% they will miss the 8.

So my Question is there a team in history, which has done worst then the Hawks since winning a Premiership…

Let me take you back to the year 2001 and the Hawks lost to Essendon by 9 points one game away from the GF. 2002 was to be the year of the Hawks and a Grand Final was to be theirs. Yet they finished outside the top 8 (9th I think).

This year to me a Hawthorn supporter feels a lot like 2002. I mean we have lost our 3rd game and this time to a team which did not make the top 8 last year and at home as well. I saw no hunger today at the game I saw a team which looked very much like the 2002 Hawthorn team. And now that I look at our list... it looks like a lot of player who had 1-2 good seasons and will they have another?

Anyway what does anyone think about it? Will teh Hawks make the finals or will we be saying till round 12 "Oh they will bounce back" Until suddenly they will be 3 games out of the 8 with 2 games to go?

Hey, I have just built a cubby house for my son, and in it I have built a Trap door, it is a standard trap door which opens from the floor there is a ladder attached so the little one can climb in. My problem is that if someone has their fingers in the way when the door is closed fast or falls closed the poor fingers will get crushed does any one have any suggestions on how to stop this? I have tried to us a door closer (you know like on a fly screen) by it did not do anything... Any other ideas? Or a web site I can ask this question other then this one?

Any help would be great....

I was reading some old questions about which team is the best... And I wanted to ask the question again, just for fun....

I choose since 1980 as I remember the teams since then... When answering this question I want you to only consider 1 season, so in terms of Brisbane in a row does not score extra point cos they won three we are talking one season... So.... My nominations are as follows...

1985 Essendon record of 19 and 3 and defeated the best team of the 80's twice in the finals and pumped them in the GF by 78points.

1988 Hawthorn 19-3 for the season and no one come close in the finals.

1995 Carlton, 20-2 60 points over Geelong in GF

2000 Essendon 21 and 1 record and no one come close in the finals.

2002 Brisbane 17 & 5 Record Won against Collingwood by a few in GF

2007 Geelong 18 and 4 won GF by 116...

Interesting when you write it down... I think Essendon of 2000 was the best team, they looked like no one could come close they were consistent and only lost 1 game... If you look as any Brisbane seasons they lost more then 5 games and as a whole did not look as good as Essendon, then look a Geelong 2007, they did not look as good as Essendon either, you can not count 2008 as they did not win the GF and in my opinion 2007 the Cats were not as good.

The Hawks of 1988 were great too and great players, but Essendon of 1985 wow they beat a team that everyone say could be the best of all time... Carlton of 95 they look as good as any of these teams, but I feel that Hawks of 88 were better even thought they lost 1 more game. So out of the nominations above my list is like this…

Geelong 2007

Brisbane 2002

This is for a character in a story I am writing, the name needs to sound cool or tuff in English but be Japanese, to help (or make harder) I would like the name to mean something as well, any of the following would be fine... War Prophet, Chosen one, Born of the Earth. or any combination there of. So "chosen prophet" is good or "Earth War" Etc... I need it so sound good, be easy to pronounce in English, yet translated can mean something like the above words, so it can be other words that mean same sort thing like instead of War you can have battle if that word is much better sounding in your opinion...

Anyway any suggestions you have would be great...
