So I put together this drink sorta half assed tonight, and it's magnificent. Delicious, and goes down smooth. I was curious if a name for this concoction already existed, because if there isn't one, I'd like to give it some stupid name for my own satisfaction. If there is one, that's fine, I'd just like to know what it is. And if there isn't, I'm also open to suggestions for the name.

It's a mix of coffee liqueur, rum, irish cream, and rice milk. Really wasn't measuring, came out something like a 1:1:1:4 part mixture, as listed.

So, at some point in the last few months, my bottle of dayquil got spilled. I cleaned up the bottle, but because the bottle was upright when I found it, I didn't think to move the trashcan or other objects out of the way and check the carpet, and there behind them is now a dried, ugly, orange spot in the rug. I know I should have checked it when it happened, but it was a busy day and it's too late for that now. My landlords will be coming for an interior inspection, and while the rest of my place looks great, this one spot is not a good thing. Is there something I can do to get this spot out?

Ok to start lemme say this: I am aware of the risks of piercing you're own ears at home, I am planning to take precautions to avoid those risks as much as possible, and you ARE NOT going to convince me otherwise. I have purchased surgical steel earrings to protect against allergies that I already know I have, I will be using sterile hollow needles, all of the appropriate gauge, I am a nursing student with my CNA etc etc. Point is, even though this is not my profession, I know what I am getting myself into and I just want some tips to perfect the plan.

So, my questions. First of all, what should I do to disinfect the earrings I'm going to use? They are 18g hoops that have ball clasps, and a pair of captive ball hoops. My idea is to remove the clasps/balls and either boil or soak them in a disinfectant, or flame them on a lighter, or all three, but I'm curious to hear if anyone has a better recommendation. Don't say autoclave, I have no access to one and I could kill germs better by flaming them.

Secondly, what should I disinfect my ear with when I prepare to pierce it? I'll be numbing with ice, because numbing gel doesn't work as well as I thought when I tried some out to test it. I haven't decided what to place behind my ear to support it while piercing, but I'm wary of using any fruits or veggies because they have their own germs. Will isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide work well? Or something else?

Also, I am starting with actually a repierce, not a new piercing. It's a healed healthy hole that closed up because I stopped wearing earrings a few years ago, mostly cos studs stab my head (hence the hoops with ball clasps this time). The amount of flesh that is being pierced is actually very little, and the holes are already marked and have been pierced in the past with no ill effects. I'm doing this one first and if it goes well and heals I plan to pierce again on the lobe.

But anyway, I'm doing it this way because I really didn't like the experience with the gun piercing when I was younger, and I prefer ball clasps to the studs normally used. I'm trying to make sure I do this as safely as possible, so it comes out healthy and pretty. So what disinfectants do I need for the tools and the ear itself, and what should I place behind my lobe to support it while piercing?

So I'm buying a new laptop soon, and I'm aiming from microcenter because those are the best prices I can find. Here's what I'm looking for:

It has to put up with gaming. i5, or i7 preferably, 8g or more of RAM, not sure what video card to ger but I've been recommended NVIDEA 780, and if I could get a touch screen I'd like it but it's not a deal breaker.

Now, the games I'm looking to play are like Skyrim, Minecraft, Portal, etc etc general tough gaming, not much online gaming but nothing major like battlefield. I want to play without restricting quality. As an artist the tough screen would be great but I can live without it. These are the laptops that I've found that are sort of what I'm looking for. If you think one of these is the best choice, or if you can recommend one to me, that'd be cool. My budget is probably max 1300 and it really needs to be a laptop this time.

This, if it was the 780 would be perfection. If I can put a 780 in it at some point that would be awesome, and maybe I could make the price work.

I don't know what the problem is but it is really starting to piss me off and I need to find a fix for this. Every minute or few, my internet just quits working. It doesn't say it's disconnected, it will maybe drop a bar, but the page will not load and I have to do one of three things to make it work.

I'll use diagnostic to restart the router, I'll disconnect and reconnect, or I'll disable and enable the connection. Sometimes it says that it's not properly configured, but I've reconfigured it (at least I think) and it's still got this horrible problem. Sometimes it says its correctly configured, but that the device is not responding. It's not the connection itself, I know because my tablet right beside my laptop works just fine and has no connection problems. Niether does any other computer in the house, it's just my laptop.

This is driving me absolutely mad and I also have online classes that need to function. I can't afford a new laptop right now and probably won't for some time. What do I need to do to fix this for good? It's going to kill me.

My family its really broken and messed up right now, at a time in my life when I could readily use the love and support from them. Im just beginning my life, virtually on my own, and I hardly know what im doing.

My dad is married to the home wrecker that destroyed my family, and i regularly catch him blowing money and watching porn- adjacent to her on the couch no less.

She squeezes her way into my life, making me uncomfortable and creeped out.

My mom is alone, scared from the divorce, and has a bad attitude that infects everything it gets near.

My sister has a new baby, a husband who may as well be a baby, and she blames God for torturing her with every little misfortune that comes her way. And, shes a self righteous know it all who must be right about everything.

Im no more perfect than my family, but I need someone to talk to who doesn't have any biases about my life. Preferably two parents, maybe with grown kids who understand the dynamics of family and marriage. Just to talk to, to understand me and offer me some advice, support, and healthy critique. Im probably reaching out to no one, but im so tired dragging myself through life alone, knowing my only support system is to broken to help.

Ok, so me and my mom like to swim. I usually swim on my own three times a week, monday wednesday and friday for about 40 minutes to an hour each time. I wet my hair and add a little oil before swimming to soak it, then I wash my hair immediately afterward with shampoo and conditioner, then i also apply an oil and a leave in while its damp, and I let it air dry as I bike home.

My mom loves to swim, and she'd like to come swim with me more often, like once a week or so, but her hair is colored a dark blond as opposed to my black with red/violet highlights, so she is particularly concerned about the damage that the chlorine could do to her hair, also of course because her age her hair isn't as tough as mine. What things could she do to protect her hair so that she could swim more often than just every other week with me? She wants to swim every Monday night with me.

Would a swimming cap help? Any products? Techniques?

Say, if I were to be receiving a new patient, and to help continue their restorative care, I'd need to know what they were capable of comfortable so I know where to push them. What sort of things could I try to find that out?

So, my sister's having a baby shower next month, for her first baby. I'm gonna get together a really nice gift basket for her, and being a nurse-aide and eventual nursing student, I'm making it medicinally themed. So far, these are my ideas:

A plastic wash basin, washcloths/washtowels/baby bath wrap, a temporal thermometer, baby cpr mask (with infant/child pr/heimlich booklet I already have), and gift cards to walmart/babys r us.

Any other suggestions? I'm intending to spend good money on my new niece/nephew, so don't be afraid to suggest anything you think might be good for home care.

My sister is pregnant, and while her shower isn't til next month, I'd like to start getting some ideas for her baby shower gift or gifts.

I want to get her more than just cute stuff, but things that will really be useful to her that she may not otherwise get for herself, that the other friends and family might not think of.

What's come to mind has been baby bottles, a temporal thermometer, or a baby bathtub; practical things that may cost money but that will be valuable to her as a first time mother. Any more suggestions?

I got maybe a pound of cube steak defrosted in the fridge. I do not wanna cook it boring like, certainly don't want Salisbury steak or cheese steak either, and my additional food recourses are a bit limited.

Ok, so I've got this sociology assignment, and while I understand it just fine, I'm really lacking in creativity in coming up with a social experiment that would really achieve results that also has not been done already.

Basically, we are to do something that violates some social norm, then write a short paper discussing people's reactions (were they afraid, did they laugh or seem confused, what ways did they try to make sense of it, etc). Some examples were these:

A student who was a mother took her daughter to Walmart, and she rode around on the bikes from the sporting goods section while her daughter sat around acting official. She wrote about those reactions.

Another was the old 'elevator' trick where people faced the back of the elevator to see if newcomers chose to conform.

Lastly was a simple experiment where students made up a student association and set up a table in the lounge, and while sharing information about their organization, they purposely would shake hands in ways that brought them really close proximity, got near peoples faces, and otherwise acted normal except for getting into peoples personal space.

I'm literaly not allowed to do any of these that have been done, but I really am just having a hell of a time thinking of some experiment to do. Suggestions?

I'm rubbish at picking computers, which is why I'm asking, not because I'm lazy I swear.

So, sometime in the future, probably not for several months at LEAST, I'm going to purchase my first desktop computer and change my laptop to my school laptop. I want to have the desktop for personal use which will mostly be entertainment.

I want a laptop that can handle games like minecraft and sims (though it doesn't have to be a $1000 rig off the bat), and general internet lurking such as reading and watching videos.

Are there any models you can recommend to me? Anything I should look for? As for gaming, if you can find a basic desktop and tell me what parts I should add to it to improve gaming performance? Please include estimated price if you can.

I'm hoping for max 5-600 dollar range, with wiggle room either way. So long as it can handle my average day, I'm cool and I'll work with it. Beggars can't be choosers.
