5 AnswersBoats & Boating7 years agoCan I install Ubuntu as a secondary OS but have the standard windows boot and only boot to Ubuntu on my HDD if I boot from USB? And how?
So basically, I want the PC to start normally to Windows, without the boot choice on startup - then when I put the USB in, either have a choice of OS or boot straight to Ubuntu from the HDD. Any help in this would be appreciated.
1 AnswerSoftware7 years agoIs my sore throat going to get better on its own or should I see a doctor?
I don't want to waste a doctor's time so here's the story: I had a sore throat which hurt when I swallowed for about 2 weeks, then it got worse and I noticed the tonsillitis spots on one of my tonsils. For the next few days, it felt like the normal tonsillitis but on top of my voicebox (not at the back of my mouth) - now the pain's left there and moved to the bottom of my voicebox and it aches if slight pressure is applied to my throat or if I look up.. does this sound like something which will get better or worse with time?
1 AnswerOther - Diseases7 years agoYoung family staying near Soissons soon, what are some good places for a day out?
I'm looking for some lovely sights or walks, also maybe some attractions which could be visited - y'know, a bit like Disney etc.. but also some of the lesser known places which will make a brilliant experience.
Ideally within an hour's drive but if there's something amazing slightly further away, please do tell!!
Thank you!
1 AnswerPicardie7 years agoDoes anyone have a piece of JavaScript to disable onmouseover and onmouseout events for a specified time?
I have an iframe which scrolls down to it on mouseover and goes back to the top of the page onmouseout - but I want to give a visitor the chance to see the page before any of these events happen.. is it possible?
1 AnswerProgramming & Design7 years agoHoliday in France, planning to visit Paris 1hr away. Will be driving from N2(North), what's best way in?
So we're going to have to find some way in to Paris as we'll be holidaying an hour away. What's the best way into the city? Is there a recommended car park on the outskirts that you would use? Please help!! Thank you!
I'm asking this again as think it wasn't clear last time that we wouldn't be actually in Paris.
1 AnswerParis7 years agoIs the mainboard for the LG 50pk-590 the same in the US as the UK or do I need to buy a specific replacement?
I'm trying to avoid opening up the TV before I need to but feel free to reply "Don't speculate, open it up!" if you think that's the right answer.. :)
Thanks
1 AnswerTVs7 years agoJava, how do I use a loop to create specified number of objects?
I'd like to ask the user to input a number of objects to create, let's say they're cars.
I would like to ask them how many cars to create and then run
Car car((number)) = new Car();
for each car they want.
I'd like some ideas on this please :)

1 AnswerParenting7 years agoFamily of 4, have to drive to London for a day out. Coming from M4, where's best to stop and get the train?
Added info, we'll be staying in Maidstone that evening so may end up travelling on train from there... What do you think is best/cheapest way to do it?
2 AnswersLondon7 years agoWhy are so many websites and app turning to this horrible white theme?
Is it all just copying iOS or is there some research suggesting that it's easier to use or something? Some references would be nice if you have links as Google has shown up nothing for me!
3 AnswersProgramming & Design7 years agoDo super-injunctions still exist?
We heard a lot about them suddenly a couple of years back but suddenly nothing now... Have they put a stop to them or have news agencies just become too scared to mention them?

1 AnswerCitroen8 years agoDoes an oil boiler exist which doesn't need electricity?
I was just wondering as you would always probably have your tank of oil if the power went out but you wouldn't be able to use it.. Is there a boiler which can be fired up another way?! If not, why has nobody made one?
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoIs it safe to take Imodium for a third day?
I don't need to yet because I took one last night and maybe that's still having an effect but I need to know just in case. The packet says for no more than 2 days but if needs be can I take it for a third day?! Genuine answers only please!
1 AnswerOther - Diseases8 years agoWhat do you wish you'd done more of before your kids grew up?
I've been thinking about when our children grow up and how I'm going to miss having the fun little children around.. I was wondering, is there anything that you always wish you'd done more of with your kids before they grew up? It could be something really small like read more bedtime stories or anything, I just want to hear what others think! Thank you!
