I’ve had a ferret once that had insulinoma & had to get put down. i got another ferret 6 months ago & he suddenly became lethargic, won’t eat & will barley drink because i have to help him. he’s not there in his mind & seems really out of it. but he did go pee once all day. is there anything i can do in the meantime before i go to the vet? how can i get him to eat? what food should i give him that he doesn’t have to chew. do you think this sounds like insulinoma or a blockage? also, he has not yet so far thrown up or had seizures .

My ferrets 5 months old, he has always been playful & energetic except for the past 3 days, he’s been having really bad seizures - foaming at the mouth, won’t eat, won’t move , & i took him to the vet today.

 The seizures were the worst on the way there , he was screaming. The vet called and told me they’re still trying to figure out a prognosis, as they haven’t seen a 5 month old ferret have insulinoma before.

 any ideas ? whether you’re a vet or not, experienced or not, could i have opinions?
