What is this pain and could it be pregnancy?
Ok so I had unprotected sex on Mon 25th March and Mon 1st April.
I've had stabbing pains in the right hand side of my lower abdomen for a week. They've been getting gradually worse.
On Saturday the pain became really severe and encompassed the whole lower abdomen/ pelvic area.
It's now constant and prickling but not as severe.
I've also had serious muscle pain in my shoulders for no apparent reason, tiredness and a really sore throat- thought I was coming down with the measles but I haven't. Also been vomiting since early last week and peeing a lot since Thursday.
I've taken home pregnancy tests but they're negative... but I'm not due on til next week anyway.
Could this be anything to do with pregnancy? Surely it's too early to have any symptoms, especially if the pregnancy tests are saying negative? Going to the doctors as soon as I can get an appointment. Thanks!
2 AnswersPregnancy8 years agoIs this an excuse to see me?
So my ex (together a couple of years) walked out of my life just over 2 weeks ago saying "he doesn't want it anymore". Since then he's messaged me to confirm I don't hate him, (to which I replied I'm just giving him space) gone through all our facebook pictures together clicking "like" and just now messaged me saying "I still have one of your socks would you like me to drop it round?"..... Is this an excuse to see me, or is he trying to clear me out of his life? I'm so confused. We're both mid twenties, I know this is childish behavior lol. I just can't get my head around him. I wouldn't ask but...It's one sock? It sounds stupid to me.
6 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoGetting over a heartbreak?
The love of my life ended things with me on Friday because he's decided he doesn't want marriage and children and that's where our relationship was heading. (We're in our mid 20's have been together a few years and we're starting to look at mortgages). All I wanted was to marry him and have his kids so naturally I'm quite down. That's an understatement. I feel like I'm dying.
I can see his reasoning is logical and blameless. I'm not angry, but he "doesn't know" if we can stay in touch. I think a clean break might be easier for him which I understand, but I can't even imagine living without him in my life.
My question is; What (besides time) has helped you all get over life changing heart breaks?
3 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoBathing my cat product recommendations?
I know you're not supposed to as it strips oils from the coat etc but she appears to have been sprayed by the local Tom cat and she stinks. She's never outside for more than an hour and doesn't go far, so I can't see it doing too much harm.
Wondered if anyone knew of a really great product to make her smell nice.
Has anyone used Pet Head dry shampoo and how did that work out?
Cheers!
6 AnswersCats8 years agoAdvice on deterring male cat?
I have a 10 month old female cat. She's spayed but the nieghbourhood Tom cat doesn't seem to understand this and tries to attack her if I let her out. This is extremely annoying as I have to stand in the garden with her every time she needs the toilet to scare him away from her, if he gets too close she's too anxious to do her business. The most annoying thing however, is that he sits outside my patio doors (under my bedroom window) and screams for her day and night. It's starting to drive me mental. I've tried pouring water on him (and even then I felt guilty) but he just comes back or sits somewhere out of reach and continues to call. He's too wary of people to let me anywhere near him (was thinking of taking him to the vets to see if he's microchipped, as he doesn't have a collar and I've no idea who might own him- if he was a stray I'd adopt him and have him neutered). I know cat charities sometimes catch strays with special cages. Is it worth calling my local center? I feel bad but nobody in the house can sleep and my cat can't play in the garden. Any humane suggestions appreciated.
4 AnswersCats8 years agoCat colours- Black Queen x Red Tom?
I read in another Q&A that someone wanted to know what kittens they'd get if they bred a black Queen with a red tabby Tom. They were told they'd need to find out the colours of the grandparents for a more accurate prediction. Just so happens I know the parentage of my cats and I'd like to know what their kittens might have looked like (they're now responsibly spayed/neutered so this is just for fun).
My Female cat is black with a very dark brown mackrel pattern (mostly visible in direct sunlight). She has a few white hairs on her chest and some white gaurd hairs around her back legs/belly.
Her father was a Seal point Ragdoll and her Mother was a Black Mackrel Maine Coon.
Her full sister was black and white and her two brothers were black (but had rust hints so don't qualify as "solid black").
Her coat is mid-length and bares more similarity to her Father than to her Mother. in this respect.
My Male cat is a Red Tabby Maine Coon.
His Father was also a Red Tabby and his Mother was a Chocolate smoke.
His full sister was Solid Chocolate.
As he is pedigree he has the long maine coon fuff.

2 AnswersCats8 years agoPregnancy pain experience?
My friend is 10 weeks and works in an old peoples home. Yesterday afternoon an old lady with dementia punched her in the stomach. She was sent home from work and came to my house where she was completely normal (no pain just tired) until she left at about 11/12. She started having stomach pains at about 2am. When she ate they got worse so she went to hospital where they continued to worsen. She's having a scan in half an hour but we need reassurance now so has anyone else had serious pain and it's been fine?
ADD: she had pain at six weeks and they thought it was ectopic but the scan showed it to be fine. She's also absolutely tiny if that has any effect.

2 AnswersBuying & Selling10 years agoWhat's your cat's favourite dish?
My cat's a fussy eater when it comes to wet food. She would eat dry food all day long but she has recently developed cystitis and is no longer allowed dry food. I cannot get her to eat wet food, I've tried all brands, all flavours, tinned salmon/ tuna/ sardines but she'll have two mouthfulls in the morning and then ignore it all day. What worries me is that she'd normally follow me around winging about the lack of food but she doesnt seem hungry and just goes back to bed. the Vet tells me "she'll eat when she's hungry enough" and obviously this is true but I want her to be happy as well as healthy so what can I tempt her with?
6 AnswersCats10 years agoHow do you cope with M.E?
So does anyboy else suffer from ME (or Chronic fatigue syndrome). Obviously there's no cure and different people have slightly different symptoms has anyone found a change in their routine or a natural remedy that's worked for them because honestly this condition is draining the life from my bones and doctors are useless :)
4 AnswersOther - Diseases10 years agolong term stress induced cystitis in cats?
I've got a female tabby who is nearly four. She lives with my parents who have one other cat (they have always been indifferent towards each other) and until recently my old spaniel who was put down in Jan. Since this time my cat has been constantly bullied by the other cat and has been peeing in random places around the house leading to diagnoses of stress induced cystitis. She has injections every 2 weeks and takes glucosamine every day for the last 2 months but it doesn't seem to be helping. I've decided it would be best to have her come and live with me (which I didn't do previously as I am out of the house a lot and thought she would be lonely) but maybe this would be a more stress free environment for her.
Has anyone had experience of cystitis in cats and if so do you have any tips to make her more comfortable? Thanks :)
1 AnswerCats10 years agoHow much do your Guinea pigs drink? Also does anyone show their Guineas?
Mine are both one year old males and drink at least one and a half full rabbit bottles every 24 hours between the pair of them. Does this seem like alot? They are both very happy and healthy so I'm not hugely worried but sometimes increased fluid intake can be a sign of internal problems?
Secondly, I live in the UK and I'd like to show off my beautiful pets. Is there an association or club that does this? What does it entail? I've shown dogs and horses but never anything smaller! Do guineas have to have papers and breeding certificates etc? I'm especially keen to show my texel as I think he's the most gorgeous thing in the world and I'd like other peopel to agree with me haha!
I'm sure a lot of you have experience with this so how did you get into it?
Thanks guys :)

3 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoDo you have a dog AND work full time?
We all know that dogs shouldn't be left alone for long periods but surely not everyone in the world who owns a dog can be home with it all day. If they are it's no wonder the world is in economic turmoil.
I'm not thinking about getting one (because my partner and I work 12 hour days which is a bit excessive even for a full-time job) but I wondered if anyone else had experience of getting a dog and keeping their job. If so how did you go about it (crate training for example) and did you have any mishaps like demolished furniture or doggy depression? I'd love to have another dog in the future when my hours are less but I'll never be able to afford to go part time etc.
18 AnswersDogs1 decade agoTips for tidy Texel Guinea pig fur?
Helloo!
I have a Texel Guinea pig. His coat is suposed to be curly but its just coarse and frizzy. He is nearly 5 months old and his coat is growing fairly fast. I brush him every day (sometimes twice) so he is never tangled or dirty. I wondered if anyone has any show tricks to make his coat sleeker rather than looking like he just stuck his nose in a plug socket lol.
Cheers =]
Here is a picture of him at 3 months. His hair is much longer than this now but you can still see the texture.
5 AnswersRodents1 decade agoTips on getting respect from a pushy youngster!?
Two years ago my Mother got two two year old New Forest geldings on loan as companions for her newly bought 6 month old cob. Last summer she bought them both to avoid sending them back to their owner (who frankly shouldn't be allowed to keep her horses but the RSPCA apparently have more pressing issues. If I could rescue them all I would but I can't.)
The smaller of the two was sold to a close friend and is doing well.
The larger was gifted to me at Christmas because nobody else in their right mind would have him.
He is now 4 years old 14hh and EXTREMELY dominant.
He lives out with my mums cob and my 16hh Lipi and bullies them both.
He has no concept of personal space, refuses to move away from pressure, will follow you incessantly, mugs people for food, runs them over, and if you tell him off he'll kick you.
I am soon to embark on the long and taxing task of ground working him so I need tips on how to quickly establish that his behaviour is unacceptable or how to not be killed (other than body armour lol)
I've worked with a lot of dominant horses much bigger than him but I've tried all my usual methods and NOTHING has any effect on him!
eg I was taught that if a horse goes to bite you, you should poke him in the soft part of his muzzle (painless but unconfortable). This horse really doesn't care. He will still bite you and then he will try and bite your finger. He persistently refuses to learn and I'm at a loss. Please help me yahoo =]
