  • A few beret questions.?

In my JROTC unit we have been permitted to wear berets (Make no fuss, they are within regulation. We do NOT wear any colors that are utilized in the armed forces i.e. black, tan, maroon, etc.)

Here's my question : What is the liner in the beret look like, is it the drawstring in it?

What's the difference between this beret, http://www.paradestore.com/detail.aspx?ID=254

    and this beret http://www.paradestore.com/detail.aspx?ID=581

    Thanks.

  • Publishing a book, just one?

For the heck of it, I'd like to see one of my works in a professional book. Edited, with the glossy paperback cover and all. Here's the thing, I'm not exactly interested for it to be 'officially' published. This is due to the reason I have the feeling it will be rejected and I don't have the funds. Anyways, I just want ONE copy of the real thing. Anybody know how I can do this?

  • On the movies, they smother the victim?

I know I watch too many movies, but this one question has been bugging me for awhile now.

Now, what I've been told that if you hold you breath long enough you'll pass out (duh), but your body knows to automatically to start breathing again after.

So on the movies when someone smothers another until they have stopped moving/breathing, shouldn't the victim just start breathing again?

    Thanks in advanced.

  • A few EOD questions....?

    1. I have poor eye sight. I don't know exactly how bad, at the moment - but I use eyeglasses. What are the chances of me getting a waiver for it? Will it effect my chances of becoming an EOD Tech?

    2. USMC EOD program, I've heard you can't join it until, like the second re-enlistment of your service. I was kinda leaning toward Marine EOD until I heard this. I wanted to start out as an EOD tech. So, what is the chance that I'm guaranteed this job upon completion of boot camp?

    3. Differences in Navy EOD and Marine EOD? I understand that Navy does underwater ordnance disposal. Is that the only difference between the two?

I'm currently 15 years old, in JROTC,and I make average to above average grades, and I'm pretty goal-oriented if I do say so myself.

  • Cadet of the Month tips?

I go up in a week or two, and I'm a little panicked. I know a lot of the material that will be asked, but I'm still nervous - and I don't know what to expect, really. Any tips for what to expect, what to do and what not is much appreciated.
