Bookkeeping Accounting Support Teacher?
I am a bookkeeper. My company does have an accountant but he only does the taxes at years end. Sometimes I wish I had someone who I could ask an accounting question. QuickBooks used to have a network of local experts that you could ask for help for what seemed like a reasonable amount of money (I'm not talking about tech support) But that seems to be no more. I would like to have a relationship with a smart talented patient accountant who is skilled in QuickBooks that I could pay on a subscription basis to ask an occasional question. What do you think my best options are? Thanks

1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry4 years agoNeed tips for cleaning a large, lightly dirty home. Has to be spotless. I don t live there, I'm the cleaning lady.?
I m a cleaning lady with a new customer. The house is brand new, 1700 sq ft, and has all dark hardwood floors except for the 2.5 baths which have ceramic tile. There are 4 area rugs. The owner has one large dog that does not shed much but does track in dirt. Only one adult and one dog live there. The house is lightly dirty but large and Mr customer is demanding about wanting it spotless(especially the floors) in 4 to 5 hours. Any tips for a large lightly dirty house that has to be immaculate(especially the floors).

Do you think I can wash it in the "mega" front load washing machine at the laundromat? Gentle cycle and warm water wash and warm water rinse?

How to clean up down feathers that have leaked out of pillow? I try to vacuum them up but most of them avoid the vacuum cleaner by flying up in the air and resettling.
1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry5 years agoIs it practical to wash a wall top to bottom?
I'm a house cleaner and sometimes I see a classified ad for someone who wants to have their walls washed in several rooms. I don't think its practical to wash matte/flat surface walls. The glossy trim and semi gloss will wash well but not the matte/flat painted walls. I think the matte/flat paint can be spot cleaned near wall switches but its not practical to wash a whole matte/flat wall. What do you all think?
6 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling6 years agoMy client cancelled her appointment on short notice and now thinks she will make it all better by giving me $20. What would you do?
I had a new cleaning customer call me. I went to her home for an hour to see the house and meet her. We set an appointment for the first cleaning. The afternoon before the appointment I texted her to confirm the appointment. Five hours later she texted me back to say she had decided not to hire me, she was going to clean the house herself and would I drive the 5 miles back to her house to return the key she gave me. Not only was I not able to fill the time on such short notice but I had also decided not to have a second appointment that day so that I would not run the risk of arriving at my new job all tired and frazzled. I wanted to clean her house right because it was the first cleaning. So I lost a whole day of work. Now she wants to give me $20 to pay me for the consultation visit. I know I can't win by being mad at a customer. If she gives me a $20 check I think I'll tear it up because my time is worth more than $20. How would you handle it?

1 AnswerDecorating & Remodeling6 years agoWhat can a house cleaner do to get better tips or make the customer more satisfied?
Folding the toilet paper and Kleenex? Wearing a uniform? Using a certain brand of cleaner? Asking questions on a preprinted form? Following up 2 days later with an email to make sure everything was OK? Business cards? Leaving chocolates?
