I am a theologian with a couple of degrees in theology (B.Th., Cert.Ph., B.Th. Ecc., M.P.Th.) and hope to someday be ordained as a Byzantine Catholic priest. My hope is that someday, "They may all be one!" One in Jesus Christ our Lord and in His body. My wish is that all come to know our Lord and that all be saved! Peace be with you!

  • Does giving birth cut off the OSAP loan for the year?

My wife is in school and receiving OSAP. She is also pregnant. She is due at the end of November but will start school again in September full time. What happens after she gives birth with the OSAP loan? If she does not start classes again in January, do we still get the rest of the funding for the rest of the year or will they cut her off until she is able to attend classes full time again? Any knowledgeable advice appreciated.

  • Should I buy a high-efficiency furnace?

Currently I have a 3 year old mid-efficiency furnace. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and we get significantly cold winters (not like Edmonton or Winnipeg where they get severe cold weather). Recently we got a quote of $8700 for a high-effeciency furnace (94%, dc brushless, ECM) and a 14.5 seer AC unit. Both are the Lennox brand and have 10 year parts and labour warrenties. Is it worth it for me to buy the high efficiency furnace when my furnace is still so new?

  • Are bishops in the Roman Catholic Rite addressed only by their first names?

Say like in a petition, would you pray for bishop Terrence or would you pray for Bishop Terrence Peters or would you pray for Bishop Peters...i.e. if the bishops first name was Terrence and the bishops last name was Peters.

  • Is 'tired' a feeling?

Is feeling located on the palette of feelings? I know people often say, I am feeling tired, but is it an emotion? Can we say that it is a feeling?

My 10 year old son claimed it was not and so I though I would put it to the wisdom of the Yahoo Answers Group, what say you?

  • Why can't I see all the Yahoo symbols?

Starting last week I have not been able to view the symbols for thumbs up, edit question or even the information below the question summary pages - instead all I see is squares!!!!

I tried refreshing the page and signing in and out and do not know what is happening - is this happening with everyone or just me?

What is causing it? How can I correct the situation?

If I have not given enough details, ask me the questions you need to and I will answer them as I go in additional details....

    Thank you!

  • How likely is a false positive (pregnancy test)?

My wife and I just had a baby eight weeks ago and think we might be pregnant. We took a pregnancy test and got a positive result, but the pharmacist said that it is too soon after having given birth to get an accurate result - the HCG from the pregnancy is still lingering in her system.

Is it likely that we got a false positive? Should we be happy that we are pregnant or wait with cautious optimism a while and repeat the test in a couple of weeks?

  • Diogenes, are you out there? Statistics? Intelligence?

Diogenes said, "Statistics show that atheists tend to be more intelligent, much better educated, and considerably older than the average Christian."

I assume Diogenes considers himself one of the "atheists" who are of "higher intelligence than the average "Bible reading" Christian and yet, he failed to back up his statistics.

That is not very intelligent. Show the source for such an inflamatory statement like that!

Any one else is free to answer this question too:

Where are or who issued the "Statistics [that] show (that) atheists tend to be more intelligent, much better educated, and considerably older than the average Christian?"

And BTW Diogenes, what a coward, no e-mail allowed to you right! And so I post it on Answers for everyone to judge!

  • Please help me understand how the Eucharist can be seen as merely symbolic?

As a Catholic I believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. When speaking with those who do not believe in the real presence, I have heard them say that Jesus is present only symbolically, but not in a real way - real flesh and real blood - in the form of bread and wine. How is it possible, as a bible believing Christian, to believe only in a symbolic presense? After all Jesus said:

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me." John 6: 53-57.
