  • Do spanx really work?

For a semi formal dance I'm wearing a short, tight, black dress. I'm only a size 6 but I have a little tummy so I'd really like it if I could make my tummy look more flat. Do you think spanx would work for me? Are they worth the money?

  • Tips for parking well (or at least straight)!?

I've only had my license for a few months but I'm a pretty decent driver, however, I'm horrible at parking! I drive a pretty big automobile (Dodge Durango) which makes it even more difficult. Never being able to park straight is just getting pitiful and embarrassing so any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. (Please don't just tell me to practice because I already know I need to do that.)

  • Birth control questions!?

Okay so I've always experienced a lot of pain, nausea, and irregularity regarding my period and I'm finally fed up with it. Being 16 I've heard a lot of rumors about birth control and I have some questions.

    Will it regulate my period?

    Will it help with cramps?

    Will it make me fat?

Will it make my skin clear?

Will it make me throw up at first?

It would be very helpful if any of you can share your experiences. Thanks!

(I'm obviously going to talk to my doctor about all this but I just wanted to hear what others had to say before I even bother making an appointment)

  • Drug store facial cleansers and moisturizer?

I just ran out of my Neurtogena Grape Fruit cleaner and I didn't really love it so I'm going to buy something different. I don't really have acne but I getpimples from time to time and my skin type is combination/oily. What are your favorite drug store cleansers and moisturizers?

I'm completely comfortable driving on a regular road but I've never driven on the highway before. Tomorrow my dad is going to take me on the highway to learn and stuff but I'm unbelievably nervous. Any advice please?

  • Grounded and moving around my room?

So, like I said, I'm grounded with no phone and bored out of my mind so I figured I'd move around my room. The only problem is, I feel like theres no place for me to move anything because it is such a small room. I mainly want to move my bed (it currently juts out into the middle of the room) and I want it against a wall for more space. The only place I could move it would be in front of a wall with two windows. It's a canopy bed with a high headboard. Will that look horrible in front of my window which faces the road?

  • I hate my period more than anything in the world.?

I know it sounds like I'm being a diva, but us ladies seriously got screwed with the whole reproductive organ thing. It's awful. For me, I get really bad physical symptoms for the first three days. Cramps, light handedness, chills, nausea, vomiting, all that fun stuff. I'm miserable. I usually take midol but I'm all out and advil/tylenol just aren't seeming to do the trick. Do any ladies (or helpful gentlemen I suppose) have any tips and tricks to make this week slightly less horrible?

  • I need to get rid of this pimple!?

I have a gigantic ingrown pimple right where my upper lip and my regular skin meet. It hurts like crazy and my lip is very swollen. I know this is a "skin care no no" but Ive tried to stick a needle in it to relieve the pressure but that didn't help. Ive also tried to ice it to reduce the swelling but that didn't help either. There is no head so I can't pop it and I don't think I could handle the pain of popping it anyway. Does anyone know of any tricks to get rid of this obnoxious facial abnormality as soon as humanly possible. Your help is greatly appreciated.

  • First tattoo, rib cage?

I've always wanted a tattoo really similar to this one but in a different font. http://www.flickr.com/photos/36476764@N02/55200684...

I absolutely love it and I'm seriously considering getting it done but I'm a little nervous about the pain. I have a fairly high pain tolerance but this will be my first and people keep telling me that the ribs is the most painful place to get a tattoo and that its borderline unbearable. What do you think? Bad idea?

  • Bedroom decorating help?

Okay so I have a fairly small bedroom and I've had it painted pink and orange for about a year now. I love the colors, they remind me of a sunrise. I wish it was a little lighter, but it's not, it's bright. I've had the same white, wooden, floral themed furniture since I was young and it doesn't match the walls at all. I'm getting new furniture soon and the problem is, I don't know what will match the walls! White looks weird, and black will look bad. Do you think wood would look okay? Someone please just give me some suggestions. Thankyou.

  • Crooked belly button piercing?

So I got my belly button pierced about 4 days ago and it looks crooked. The piercer said he used a "J Bar" because of the swelling and the bottom part of the "J Bar" goes to the side. When I look at it the two holes look straight, its just that the two balls of the jewelry don't. Will it look better when I can finally change it to a banana shaped bar?

  • what to do for 16th birthday?

Okay so I'm turning 16 in december and I'm really excited but I have no idea what I want to do. I have some options so I'd love to hear your ideas. Here were a few of mine..

    1. Rent a hall or something, get a DJ, invite a ton of kids, pick a theme, and have a big party. (I've been thinking about this one a lot. I know it sounds silly but I'd be nervous no one would show up. lol)

    2. I live in the greater Boston area so I was thinking about picking like 4 of my best lady friends and going into the city, going out to dinner, and staying in a hotel for the night. I was also considering us all going to a concert to but i haven't found any good ones near my birthday. (But then I was thinking that since I didn't find a concert this might be a little boring.)

So clearly I don't know. Help please?

  • Ready to give up. AcneFree kit?

All summer I didn't wear any foundation. School started up, I'm wearing makeup again, and now im breaking out again. I bought the AcneFree kit and I'm not sure if its working. I've used it for about a week and things haven't gotten better or worse really, but my skin is more oily than it used to be. My acne isn't too severe but it bothers me and I'm about ready to give up because I feel like nothings working:( Should I give the AcneFree kit a little bit longer or just give up and go see a dermatologist? Any other skin tips are more than welcome!

  • weather confused tramp?

I'm in high school and tomorrow is going to be about 70 degrees. Do you think that's too cold to wear a short sleeve blouse and shorts? The shorts aren't fall shorts ( http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servl... ) but they really make the outfit. Thanks for the help.

  • How do you feel about rompers?

I'm going to a few concerts this summer and I like the idea, and look, of rompers. Cute and airy like a dress, but you can still not flash the world in a big crowd. My problem is, I'm not sure how to like wear them. That sounds silly because obviously I know "how" but I mean what to wear them with for shoes and accessories and stuff. I'm sixteen and I dress cute but unique with fun accessories. I'd love for someone to help put together some outfits for me. Thanks :D And remember these are summer concerts so the weather will be hot.
