  • Good Parents/Pre-Teen Puberty Book for Girls?

My daughter (And only child) has turned 8, and though it's a bit early...I want to start to prepare her (And MYSELF!!) on the changes that are coming.

I'm interested in a book that will talk about respecting her body....and will also discuss the emotional turmoil (For lack of a better word), that she may go through...that we all may go through.

She is my only child...And I really want to do this right!

So if you'd had some good experiences, with any particular book...please recommend it!

    Thanks!

I'm not an overly technical girl- We're not gamers, or needing to access the internet via this TV...

These flatscreens have been available for a while now, so I'm hoping someone can give me some concrete thoughts on which brands are best, and why.

I don't want to spend more than $1000, and don't want more than a 42" screen.

HELP! Give me some opinions to what's been great...and what's suxd!

    THANKS!

  • Thoughts and experiences, with 1st Graders and their "Boyfriend/Girlfriends"?

What are your 6-7-8yr old's doing in regards to this boyfriend/girlfriend thing?

My opinion...Is that at this age, it's harmless. A normal behavior for early grade schoolers...

I'd like to know what your kids are doing? And what are your thoughts on it?

I want to raise a happy, healthy child...one who is educated, and well rounded...yes, even in her sexual health.

    Give me your thoughts!

    THANKS!

  • PS3 vs PS2? Is there a huge difference between the two?

So my Husband (Stationed in another state), has a "broken" PS3.

(It locks up after 10-ish mins of play. Apparently, a common problem)

So I'm looking to buy him a new USED one...and am shocked to find they're still so expensive!

He has games for the PS3 (Obviously)...I'm wondering if there's such a huge difference in the PS2 and PS3. Are the games universal? (Being played by both PS2 and PS3)

Are the capabalities of the two drastically different? Graphics, speed, all that stuff...

Obviously I'm not a Gamer...Just a Wife, who has a bored Husband in Texas!

    :(

Thanks for any info you can give...I'll take any suggestions you have!

  • I can't find Winter Wedding Dresses!?

I have been searching and searching...online and locally (In a town, that has SNOW for the Winter season!)...and have come up with only limited gown choices for a winter wedding.

I'm talking dresses that will be worn OUTSIDE...

Any recent Brides have any suggestions to online bridal shoppes, or even boutiques in NorthWestern states, that I could visit?

  • 91 Ford 150 Lariat - Good/Bad or otherwise?

So I have an opportunity to purchase a 1991 Ford 150 Lariat...with only 35K miles on it. My GFs G-Pa passed, and it was his vehicle...that he drove around a VERY SMALL town (Hence, the low miles!).

Being that I know nothing about this sort of truck, I'm hoping someone can give me some general facts about such a truck. Anyone have one and love it? Hate it?

What are the general thoughts on this truck?

    I think it's a STEAL @ $5000...because of the low miles. It's also gorgeous!

But help! Is the price too high? For a 1991 I mean.

    THANKS

  • Paragard IUD - 1st period...HEAVY bleeding?

So actually, I wasn't supposed to start my period for another 2wks...

Now I'm bleeding heavily, but without cramps. Some clots, but mostly abnormally runny flow (I use the Instead, so this is easy to see).

I'm not that nervous, as I'm not in any pain...and have read that this can happen.

I'm just wondering if any one else has had a similiar experiece?

Overall, at this early stage...I'm happy with the IUD (After insertion...HOLY COW THAT HURT!). But my flow does seem a bit excessive.

    Anyone else experience this?

    THANKS

  • Running an hour, and feeling great! But how often....?

So I've been a runner on and off, throughout my entire life (I'm turning 39 in a few days!).

I'm now up to a good hour of running...granted, only a 9min mile (Which feels GREAT!). Anyway, I've achieved my weight goal...running 5-6 times a week.

To maintain my cardio capability...and my muscle tone-ness...and my general "feeling good" during, how often should I run? Summer is upon us, and we're starting to get busy with the Summer-time fun...

How often should I run, to maintain all that I've achieved...weightloss, distance...all that.

    Thanks so much!

Is there a way to do this? Is a Recordable DVD Player, my only option? And will it work with Dish Network?

Or can I buy the DVDs, (Post game obviously) to send to him...

I know our Troops would so enjoy it!

  • TXT Messaging Iraq, from Home!?

AT&T - Domestic Phone Number - Int. Location?

Okay, so it's confusing...But here goes!

Both BF and I have Domestic Phone Numbers, and unlimited TXT Messaging. He is stationed in Iraq.

We've been TXT messaging for communication. When doing so, neither of us dial a "+11" to send the message.

I have asked my Carrier of Verizon, and I am not being charged for sending/receiving to/from him in Iraq.

My question is this...he has Unlimited Messaging, and is NOT dialing the +11 when sending me a Message.

What are the fees do you suppose?

I've been told numerous things. Int. Charges are .50 sending/receiving. Or .20 for sending/receiving. Or the message is free, but they're getting him for "Roaming", when the Messages are enroute, the "Connection" time, for sending/receiving.

Does anyone know the real scoop??

He's been there a week so far, and though it's FAB to have contact with him...we don't want ot be hit with a HUGE bill!
