I know what a CHU is but what does the initials mean?

Example: My husband lives in a CHU in Iraq?

For instance, I'm walking into the mall and there is a group of Mexican men - they all stand there, staring me down like I'm a piece of meat, steadily eye raping me and whistling! It makes me so uncomfortable! I usually will turn around and literally yell "quit staring"! It's so dang annoying?!

My husband is currently finishing up his tour in Iraq. I've been wanting to get him a new wedding band and have it engraved inside with "My hero" or something similiar to that and surprise him with it our first night back together.

I will be seeing him in about 3 weeks. My question is since I don't know his exact ring size would it be alright to buy it anyway?

I called a jeweler in town and she said she thinks it would be alright. But, I wanted to get more insight from you guys.

Also, does anyone know the standard size a men's ring comes in at the store because I want to get it one size up from that. Since it's 8:20am here - I cannot call and get details from a jeweler. I'm totally anxious to make a purchase SOON, please help!!
