Why do bath towels have stitching right where you would wipe your face after showering?

Usually, the traditional way of folding towels involve the right side of the towel being seen, therefore the design or monogram is on that edge of the towel. sadly, the showers we use today make it so that the design corner of the towel is right where we wipe our faces after showering.
