Kick Push by Lupe Fiasco.

I LOVE it because there is NO profanity, no talk about how many "h*es" he has, how many cars, furs and jewelry. The music video is clean, no women degrading themselves.
He used an onomatopoeia(sounds that also identify with words such as POP, POW, Click)
The video reminds me of a home video on a projector
The song is a totally flexible metaphor.

I guess my all time favorite song has got to be from the opera Samson and Dalila by Camille Saint-Saens. The name of the aria is "Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix", which is sung in the second act. It is Delila's song of seduction for Samson and one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written for voice.

My favorite version of the song is sung by the truly fabulous mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. I can't find a link on the net... but it's worth every penny you'd spend buying an album by Horne with this song on it. You might be able to hear it at your public library too....Show more
