Are sending evites better than mailing out invitations?
Or would you think that it was cheap? I am having a party in about a month or so and I wanted to know will I look cheap if I emailed my invitations instead of mailing them.

If it's a casual party, I say go with evites. I've used the service several times, and it's pretty cool. You can personalize and design the invitation, so it feels almost like a real one. And people can easily let you know if they're coming or not. If it's a more formal occation, however, mailed invitations might be the way to go.
Since you're having party, where a certain amount of people and there is actually a list of people you want to invite, then you should send of invites via the mail. Its is more formal and can promote your image of have good class. You can either have them professionally done, or do them at home with your computer. If you choose to do them at home, then I would be sure to buy good quality paper. Make sure that you have an RSVP number so that you can make sure they got the invitation. There is also the people with people not RSVPing and just showing up, which makes it more difficult to determin how much food or drinks to provide. You could also follow up with a phone call, or if you so desire, send out an evite, some people might find it easier replying to an evite RSVP then calling you in person. But first send out actual invitations. Hope it helped, have a nice party.
If it is not a formal party and the invitees are tech savvy then there should be no problem sending an evite. You can even say that you are sending an evite to help protect the environment. People can't argue with that!
Evites may be cute for your girlfriends, but sending a written invitation makes the person feel individualized, and makes them feel more wanted than if they see that you spammed an evite to everyone.
It depends on how formal the event is. More formal, go with paper invites, otherwise I think that eVites are easier, and your chances to get contacts for RSVP are much higher. This could change based on the use of computers by the people you are inviting, but if you choose it eVite.com is free and easy.
