What is the ONE word for asking in which position something is placed (eg to get answer first/second )?

I need a word lie which/where/what/ or why
In many languages you have a word which asks for the position in a list. The only similar concept I can think of in English is HOWMANIETH..... What word can replace howmanieth in this sentence: "Howmanieth were you placed in class" OR "The howmanieth president of USA was Richard Nixon?"

There is no one word in the English language for this.  Howmanieth is not a word.  You just have to use words that are appropriate for the situation.  ie. where were you placed in class? or Richard Nixon was which president of the United States? etc.

Ordinal and ranking express the general concept, but there's no one word for "howmanieth". IMHO however "howmanyeth" should indeed be a word. I'd spell it so.

In each of your examples "howmanieth" can be replaced by another ONE word. "Where were you placed in class" and "Which number (in place of "the howmanieth") president of the USA..." Our words like place, position, and where are good enough, no?
