Can Satan be saved if he repents?

My husband and I are having an ongoing debate. I say Satan can be saved and return to heaven if he confesses his sins and repents. My husband says no. Who is right?

Please give scripture reference.

As usual, less than half the respondents are answering the question that was asked. The question was, Could Satan be forgiven if he repented? The question was not, What do you think are the chances of Satan repenting?

To answer the actual question, all you need to know is that entering heaven depends on 1) repenting for past sins, and 2) accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If there is a passage somewhere that specifically precludes these conditions from applying to fallen angels, I haven't found it. Otherwise, it looks to me like Satan definitely could be forgiven by doing these things.

However, if he actually did these things and re-entered heaven, it would really mess up a lot of basic Christian doctrine. For one thing, the Prince of Darkness plays a pretty major role in the End Times; if he "went good," we'd need a whole new script for Revelations. And, if there was no Evil One, who would we blame bad things on? You wouldn't be able to say "The devil made me do it" anymore. And finally, fans of heavy metal music would just be totally confused.

Watch my video on youtube Satan Repents?!? Proof!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgwwpbzDeZc then watch satan repents 2 on my channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H26iF093p80 to be amazed. For some reason I still somewhat beleive this is from Satan because it says "out never say no" owtneveseno" which is one seven two backwards. 172 is wants heaven to. I can proof that Satan is in fact trying to release his prisoners contrary to Isaiah 14:17. I had a dream on Oct.6 2015 I woke up at around 2:00 AM amazed and walked to the store and bought a beer. In the dream Satan turned into a woman then came back and praised Jesus, although the Christ was being praised he had puss in his nail prints in the dream which made me almost dismiss the whole thing, but Satan cannot say it perfectly..that s just how the rule goes so you have to take it for what it is. I cannot PROVE the commentary the voices gave on it. But he had to correct it, what he was saying about Christ...but it had to be in the form of a lie, appearantly. So he pretended to be Jesus talking and said the puss was not his intent. These words verbatim that were said are "That was a lot for a man to go through" he repents and praises. And I am extremely confused at this point. But watch my videos for proof if you needed it.ch

Good question. I think no, he was given a chance a long time ago and he made his final decision already. He'll never repent actually. It is not because God would not like him to do it, but because God knows he will never do it. The Bible already says what's going to be his fate according to what he chose. However, I think God still loves Satan since it was God who said love your enemies. He'd have not commanded it if He was not willing to do it Himself.

Here's a very good quote which goes well to the point:

"In the opening of the great controversy, Satan had declared that the law of God could not be obeyed, that justice was inconsistent with mercy, and that, should the law be broken, it would be impossible for the sinner to be pardoned. Every sin must meet its punishment, urged Satan; and if God should remit the punishment of sin, He would not be a God of truth and justice. When men broke the law of God, and defied His will, Satan exulted. It was proved, he declared, that the law could not be obeyed; man could not be forgiven. Because he, after his rebellion, had been banished from heaven, Satan claimed that the human race must be forever shut out from God's favor. God could not be just, he urged, and yet show mercy to the sinner.

But even as a sinner, man was in a different position from that of Satan. Lucifer in heaven had sinned in the light of God's glory. To him as to no other created being was given a revelation of God's love.

Understanding the character of God, knowing His goodness, Satan chose to follow his own selfish, independent will. This choice was final. There was no more that God could do to save him. But man was deceived; his mind was darkened by Satan's sophistry. The height and depth of the love of God he did not know. For him there was hope in a knowledge of God's love. By beholding His character he might be drawn back to God." (http://www.whiteestate.org/books/da/da79.html).

Satan, as any other created being, was given free will: whether obey God or not to obey Him. Unfortunately, he chose not to obey God and rebell against Him.

You wont ever have to worry about who is right, he won't repent.. But , no, he cannot. Like Ishmael who sought restitution with tears and there was no place for him, there is no longer a place in Heaven for Lucifer. When he rebelled and tried to take God's throne, his path and place was set. Because he had decieved Eve, with adam standing right there with her, he bacame ruler of this world and delayed his final end. God sent Jesus to remove satan from his throne, and when the last enemy, which is death is defeated satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever..

Look in the Book of Revelation beginning at about chapter 20. Revelation tells us what is to come...for sure. Satan will never repent; his fate is sealed. Rev. 20:10 is where satan gets drop kicked into the lake of fire. Good riddance.
