'93 Rodeo leaking steering fluid at the gear box?

Is this common? Can the gear box be rebuilt (new seals etc.) or must it be replaced? Estimated cost? Any input is appreciated!

there are two basic types of kits available for resealing the gear box
a complete overhaul kit with all the seals and o-rings and a lower or secctor shaft seal kit
depending on where your leak is
usually it is the bottom seal. if so, there is no need to remove the gearbox
u remove the pitman arm with the appropriate puller
place a drain pan underneath
remove the lock ring and retainer
with the wheels off the ground and engine running turn the wheel hard from one side to the other
the pressure usually will cause the seal to pop out
clean up the shaft, install the new seal and pitman arm and bleed the system of air
it will usually cost about 1/2 labor if you take it to a shop
it's nt a hard job but a messy one
the seal kit is inexpensive

It needs a seal kit, take it to a power steering specialist as theres a heap of balls inside that takes some getting back in.
