How do I launch an Internet Explorer window to show up full-screen?
When I open sites in Internet Explorer, the screens open in a smaller window (minimized), rather than using the full screen. Is there a setting I need to change?

If you want Internet Explore to open full-size when you start it up, you must first start IE. Then maximize the window. Now click File, then Close. Now restart IE, and it should start up in a full-sized window. If half of the window is off the screen when you start a program, bring the window to the location you want and then click File and then Close, and it will re-open in this position the next time.
Changing the size of windows that appear when you click on an Internet link takes a few more steps.
Open Internet Explorer. Now open another instance of Internet Explorer so that you have two running at the same time. In the second one, right-click a link and select Open In New Window. If the new window does not start in full screen, simply resize the window by dragging the edges out to the sides of the screen. Do not use the max button.
Close the first window by selecting File, then Close. Now close the window you just made full size. But close it by holding down the Control key and selecting File, then Close. Do not release the Control key until the window is closed.
Now close the last Internet Explorer window. If you do this right, the settings will stick. You may or may not have to reboot, depending on your operating system

Those are good answers, but I think she is talking about controlling the window size when clicking on a link for example.
To do this, do not use the maximize button up in the right corner; instead, drag the edges of your open window to the desired size. When finished, close the window. Now reopen a window and wala it will remember the size you had previously used.
You can also hold the Ctrl key down when you click the X to close the window. This should also lock the window size.
These methods work for other Microsoft applications, not just IE

If you want the window to get maximized when you click on Internet Explorer's shortcut, you have to open Internet Explorer (only one window) then maximize it and close it, now open Internet Explorer again, it should open in maximized mode but if you want it full screen, you should use F11 button when IE opened and I think there is no option for IE to always open in full screen (F11 mode)

push the f11 key to go full screen, then to ge back, push the f11 key again. also if you have the newest version of internet explorer, click tools and the seventh one down is a button that goes full screen when selected.
