i keep trying 2 get mew and it's not working my team is
growlithe-lv 48->typhlosion-lv 100->venusaur- lv 100 i bring the music box with me and the other night mew was transformed into a sandshrew and defeated it not knowing it was mew because the little window box didn't say mew had transformed. if u recruited mew please tell me how you did it. thx much :)

If you have access to it, head to Mt. Faraway. On the 35th floor is a friend ribbon behind a locked door. This will increase the chance of befriending any pokémon if it is held by your leader. Take some cleanse orbs just in case it gets sticky, since sticky traps are abundant. Also, have any of your level 100's as your leader to increase your chances even more. Mew is not easy to recruit and a lot of luck is involved. Avoid recruiting any pokémon other than mew until you have it.
I was able to recruit mew at level 50 something by pure luck. I tried just attacking it and not using moves at all and it joined my team. Now it's level 100

It's been like 6 years since I last played this game! But I remember that I found that flying white cat in a cave. You're cute though.

just take venasaur and get a friend ribbon equipt it to venasaur. maxe sure your silver rank or higher of it will take like 100 times i got him during a monster house and it teleports you out when you recruit him.
