yes video games have torn apart most of my relationships. He ignored me AND HIS FRIENDS, and I had to leave because he was being selfish, video games are selfish, you're only getting enjoyment for yourself. Even if your playing iwth 8 other people on Halo, mostly everyone is sitting there killing people and feeding their ego. I hate video games, because Ive learned to hate them. Boys need to sto pbeing boys and be men.

Sometimes. Video Games can be used for Social or AntiSocial. Social is when playing with friends, used like for house parties or friend group. Social games are Sports and games that has more than 1 player. Winning Eleven is a good option. My friends compete for be the best, and we play for fun.
Antisocial can come for solo games like Okami, GTA, games that doesn't have multiplayer. Antisocial Behavior comes in a playing of much hours and some friends (1 or 2). This can come bad, it needs attention. I have a friend, he played too much time MMORPG Games (Helbreath, a Diablo bad-imitation games with the score of 0.25/5). He played too much time and he didn't talked. He invited friends for a Birthday Party and he didn't got out of the computer.
There are games that can be used for Social use, like MMORPGs. Controlled Play Hours is an important task to do. I played a game called .hack // G.U. , it's a simulated MMORPG in which players can talk to other players, talk to NPCs, gift or recieve greeting cards and (the most important thing for non antisocial behavior) make a party. Parties are used for fighting enemies and get experience in battle, with them you can join or create and you can start to make conversations (with it i maked 7 friends in 2 days).
Video Games can be, sometimes, a conversation. You can ask for cheats, help, games or consoles. You can ask about a secret item and thank him. It can be used for start a conversation (instead of general conversations, like weather status).
Thinking
just like anything else, video games should be played in moderation. Yes, they can lead to antisocial behavior...especially when playing by yourself...however remember there's no harm in playing them...as long as they don't become your main priority.

Yes, they do especially if the person playing prefers to play the video game instead of interacting with his/her friends all day, everyday. Video games are made to keep the person playing them for hours and hours and keep coming back for more. So remember to limit the amount of time you or your child spends on them and that there is still a world out there waiting for you to interact with.
