Case Study... What would you do if...?

Question

Ok...  This is kind of like the woman who dialed 911 because she wanted to give a deputy (who had just left her house moments earlier) her phone number. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, here is the link to the article:

Here is the story/question I need an answer to...

A woman is pulled over for speeding. She is released with a warning. The next day, while driving down the same road, she is pulled over for speeding again by the same officer. She informs the officer (a male) that she was speeding on purpose because she wanted him to pull her over so she could see him again and ask him out on a date.

1.  Can (or should) the police officer charge the woman with reckless driving? If so, do you think the charge will hold up in a court of law?

2.  What other citations/charges can the woman incur for her actions?

2.  If you were the police officer, what course of action would you take?

1.  Unless she was doing something other than speeding, I don't think the officer would charge her with reckless driving.
(Assuming she isn't going 100 MPH in a 35 MPH zone; I think "excessive" speeding in and of itself is considered "reckless".)  
2.  She gets a speeding ticket.
3.Tell her that whatever her reasons, she was still speeding, and was warned the previous day, so she is getting a ticket.
Maybe tell her I am flattered, but it's still not going to be excused.
(Being "flattered" would actually depend on many things that I am not EVEN going to discuss here.)

The only thing the officer could have charged her with is speeding.  Reckless driving has to do with endangering another person (in the state of Washington)

Being "hot" or "sexy" or overloaded with hormones is no excuse for driving badly.  She should get a ticket.

If she wants to meet the officer, her ticket clearly shows his name and badge number....She can call him and ask him out for lunch.

There is no need to risk injuring others by your bad driving - no matter how fast your hormones are running....

Is she hot?

I would date her if he was hot.  Otherwise, I would kindly refuse to date her, but thank her for her consideration.  I would file a report with my chief to protect myself.

Do not charge her with anything so as to prevent a situation from escalating.
