Do you think the 5 game suspension is fair for Lee and Young since Young is a pitcher?
Since Lee is a position player he'll miss 5 games, but since Young is a pitcher it's not like he's going to miss 5 starts right? He'll only miss 1 start. Do you think this is fair for the teams?

I know the players are the ones being punished and not the teams, so should Young miss 5 starts?

Yes, Young should miss probably 2 starts though. 5 starts is too long. A position player can be back in a week. If you suspend a pitcher for that long he would be out for almost a month. That's not really fair either.
And Soriano is the one to blame. He showed up the Braves too on that day he hit 3 homers. If he didn't showboat so much this wouldn't happen. He should be the one getting hit though. I think retaliation against other players other than the instigator is wrong.
**** you, Cubs fans. Yeah, nice player you got there. Oh, look...The Cubs suck. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I respect the nice Cubbie fans but the one's who are crybabies, I couldn't care less. Lee should have took it like a man and then kicked Soriano's butt. He started the whole thing. It's fine to be happy but what he does is just over the top ridiculous. He isn't even that good.
Why would he miss 5 starts? That would be 1/7th of his season (pitchers normally average 32-37 starts in a whole season), while Lee's 5 games will only be 1/34th of the season for him. 1 start is totally fair.
I think young should miss 5 starts because it would be just as big of a loss to the Padres as it is to the Cubs .Lee is a vital team leader and without him the cubs have a small chance to succeed. Now both teams would be punished for their players actions
I have thought about that myself. Young is out for 5 games, but definitely would have played in only one of those. Lee, on the other hand, likely would have played in all 5 games. Doesn't seem quite fair to me.
