Is this the most ridiculous politically correct quote or what?
"I am sorry sir, this is a non-smoking mountain." -- Broadcaster David Frost on what official told friend about to light up on skiing holiday at Aspen.
I'm not even a smoker, but when I read something like this it makes me want to buy a pack of Newports and fly to Aspen. ROFLMAO

The first response by UK misses the mark. If it's a skiing event - not much danger of fire due to snow cover. And you are quite correct. It is over-the-edge pc ism. I almost felt embarrassed for Frost when I read your blurb here. It would be nice if there was a mountain in Colorado declared, "non pc."
It sounds like that infamous smoker temper that goes away after they've finished their cigarette and the similarly infamous non-smoker temper that goes away when the smoke goes away. Anyway, it's their mountain isn't it! Aren't they rich enough to buy their own mountains out there in Aspen? --Basically, I don't know.
It makes sense if there is a danger of fire. Forest fires ruin millions of acres every year, killing wildlife and people. Most areas protected by Forestry Commissions in various countries observe the same rule.
lmao - yep, that's about the epitome of pc!!! I don't smoke, either but can't stand when non-smokers get all territorial about things like - mountains!!! thanks for the laugh!!
