Coconut Margarita recipe (based off Negril restaurant)?

I had a coconut margarita on the rocks at a restaurant in the Chelsea are of NY, called Negril. Has anyone been there and tried this drink? I am looking for a recipe that would be similar, and have not been able to find anything that matches the taste at any restaurants I've been to since.

Thanks!

Favorite Answer

1 cup of ice
3 tbsp of fresh lime juice
2 oz. Tequila
1/4 cup of coconut cream

Put all the ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. I make these all the time and they're just delicious! Good luck!

First you need to have the right and best ingredients.
You can purchase a coconut flavored tequila, controls, and triple sec. 2/3 flavored Tequila and split the last 1/3 between the Cointreau and triple sec. Put in a frozen margarita glass with ice cubes (not chipped) and served with a very thin slice of fresh lime. Add 3-4 drops from the fresh lime. You will be in Heaven
