cheese grater, I use mine almost daily plus I don't eat much ice cream so i've got no need for a scooper.

Depends what you're trying to achieve.  Try making a bowl of ice cream with a cheese grater..

Depends on what you need it for , but personally i think in Ice cream Scoper can be more effective in more cirumsances as a  whole, but if you need to cut through some rope .You Had better go for the grater.
