Hitchcock anyone?
Maybe you like artistry of Tom Savini? How do you compare a modern day horror film to one of the 1950's or earlier?
I should repost.

Horror movies today rely upon slick special effects, hot undressed girls to dumb to out run a snail, and gore. In the good days gone by. Hitchcock relied upon the story and how it was told to create the horror. Special effects in those days were nothing compared to the big money events you see today, just look at all those great B-Horror Movies from the 50's and 60's. I love some of the newer horror flicks, but also like to see the old classics now and again. Films like, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Psycho, The Birds, The Blob, Planet of the Apes, First man in the Moon, etc...

Hitchcock was the master! My top 3 are Psycho, North By Northwest, and The Birds.

What are the ties you make of Hitchcock and Savini?
Hitchcock never made monster flicks, he did tasteful thrillers and entertaining mystery movies. Hitchcock was damn good, and very often his movies cannot be compared to more recent cinema.

Alfred Hitchcock was the Master of the whodunit. The closest movie I have seen since Hitch is The Game.
