Just to be different (it's hard to pick just one) I'll go with "Strangers on a Train."

It uses just about all of Hitch's tricks of visual themes of doubles and a man who it totally trapped by a madman. The casting is supurb, with Robert Walker as a man who seems so harmless but is totally creepy and maniacal. And you gotta give some points for having Leo G Carrol. And it even has Hitchcocks's real daughter mischieviously poking at things to move the plot along.

See it as a double feature with "Throw Mama From the Train."

I'm very fond of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, showing the comic genius of Hitchcock.

    My choice is Vertigo.

Great performances by James Stewart, Kim Novak; terrific, riveting story of love, mystery & obsession, marvelous San Francisco & Bay Area locations, haunting score by Bernard Herrmann, innovative camerawork and design---shattering climax that will leave you gasping...

    Nobody did it better.

l love Rear Window. We can all relate to that since we all enjoy watching other people.

Psyho is also good. lt wouldn't be copied many times if it isn't.

For its originality and delicious terror, I'll go with Psycho; North by Northwest a close second.
