Do you believe that Emotion is the enemy of Reason?

Emotions cloud judgement and often are the root cause of violence. Do you think that the elimination of emotions could lead to a more peaceful humanity?

No, and it's not the cause of violence. You are suppose to express yourself. That is what is wrong with this world today. People are stuck in the 3rd dimension suppressing their "true feelings". I just read that the Anglo Saxon are conditioned to control their feelings because it's not "appropriate". People need to bring back their "younger self".......

The soul also partakes of volition, which means the reasoning faculty expands in relation to the expanding quantity of judgements of an object's value. Note that "object" is an impoverished term for what has been under scrutiny for centuries by sages, none of whom have been able to easily clarify to others what they may understand perfectly. The problem of language coexists with the problem of choosing "the better over the worse" course of action just as an individual's solitary thoughts/emotions coexist with the minimal requirements of social order, ius naturale.

When an individual meets the "minimal requirement", ie., understands the necessity (this not identical to simply following commands) to subjugate chaotic impulses, the reasoning faculty becomes the cause it formerly sought to understand. Not incidentally, this is where the difference between human and animal nature can be found. Individual humans may reach a state of Being beyond the supposed unintelligible origin of a command, but not before first passing through the intelligible nature of an (animal) impulse.

The elimination of emotions *would* lead to a more peaceful existence, but it would also be purposeless. All care for others would be replaced with extreme apathy. As a result, would humanity would be discouraged from communication? On the other hand, if reason was eradicated, the world would erupt into mass chaos.
I believe that emotions and reason work hand in hand to make the world the way it is today.

I do agree that emotion clouds judgement but does not always lead to violence there is a limit that a human can control emotion in a situation but once the emotion gets out of that grip that is when you can call it violence. Like dogs they are good and lovable but when they get into a state of mind they are hard to reason with

The elimination of emotion would likely reduce violence and other "bad behavior", but we may as well be dead. There would be no passion, no love, no joy, etc.
