What happens to latex paint if exposed to freezing temperatures?
We will be moving to an area that gets snow if the winter and tempuratures well below freezing. It never freezes where I now live.
We normally leave touch up paint in the garage, but at the new home it freezes in the winter. Will this affect the paint? If so, how should I store it?

Store it in a basement or a crawl space. If paint freezes it becomes grainy.

Most paints have a freeze thaw cycle of 4. Meaning its still good after it thaws and freezes four times this is because of Glycol/anti freeze additive. Depending on Where it was made and how shipped to store, its possible the paint may have been frozen at least once before you purchased. So chances are if its only been one winters its OK to use. Just let is thaw and take a look at it after you have re-mixed it. You will be able to tell rather quickly if the paint is good. Also try painting a test board and see how it goes on and dries. If in doubt just get new paint.
