recommend you just get rid of it and go buy some more latex paint. Latex paint is water based. I will cause you problems if you try to use it now that it is mixed with thinner.

    Latex Paint Thinner

Paint thinner is used for oil based paints- if you check the label on latex paints you will see that you should use water to thin it.

I think that paint thinner destroys the bond that is in latex.

I agree with breezybur - discard the paint and start over. Latex paints normally do not require thinning. They appear to be thicker than one would expect, but they cover well right out of the can without adding water, unless there is a significant mitigating factor, like very cold paint.

In any case, I'd start right out of the can. If things don't go well, then add water, but sparingly!

How much thinner did you mix with the paint? That's the first question to be answered. Thinner will do exactly that, thin the paint. If the mixture of thinner was`nt an exaggeration than just stir it very well and start painting. You might not have the color you wanted but it will go on OK. The smell is from the latex and the thinner. OPEN THE WINDOWS!!!!!!!!! To be on the safe side do a medium size area of the wall and wait. Should be OK. But to be on the safe side experiment.

Listen to the people who told you to discard the paint. It is ruined.

You cannot thin latex paint with paint thinner.

Unless you are spraying you shouldn't be thinning the paint anyway.
