looking for a divorce atty in south louisiana-I have no $$ he has it all?

my husband of 9 years left me and our 3 children to go work in wyoming a year ago. Now he wants a divorce because he's in love with someone there. I live in a trailer with the kids in south louisiana (our hometown) he's renting a 2 story house for $1500 a month, and buying a new harley. (while I drive a 10 year old van) in Wyoming. I don't even have a bank account, but he does up there. I haven't worked for 15 years, I was a stay at home mom. He makes over $70,000 a year. I need an attorney who will take him on and make him pay. Our children are still very young, ages 13, 9, and 8. Please help.

thats just wrong not only did he leave you high and dry but ditched his kids to and with no money to support them.if i was you i would call your local legal aide office i know i live in florida and they do it free here as far as i know.if not jsut call around to diffrent lawyers and see if they know where you can call and get help also go down to the child support enforcement office and get the paper work started so he is made to pay for that and go to department of children and families and get paperwork filed for trying to get medicaid for the children and foodstamps so u can have food at least until this divorce goes through and he is court ordered to take care of his responsibilitys.and on a personal note im sorry but this man is a scum bag to do this to you and your kids.good luck hon

I do not live in Louisiana but I can tell you this, he cannot just leave you high and dry. You are his legal wife and you guys have children together.....I do believe HE will have to pay for your lawyer as well.

Get on the phone today and start making phone calls. Call a woman's advocate group in your area. They will steer you in the right direction.

contact social services in ur town or the closest town to you, they can help with finding u an atty, getting you and your kids help, food, clothing etc. he can't just walk away from his responsibilities and an atty can help you get child support, spousal support, etc. call any atty u wish, most offer free initial consultation...take in all pertanant material with u, his ss#, address, work place, address, etc along with ur marriage license and whatever else u may think of, the atty can help u and may do it pro-bono or may take his fees later.
u and ur children have rights and options, little one, make some calls and get some help for you and your children.

good luck and GOD bless.

Try New Orleans for an attorney. They should have a lot down there at least it did when I was there in March of 2005.

Go to your nearest state social services office. Find out how to get legal aid. You don't need a lawyer to get child support, you can file for that through family court.
