Can I get into a phD program for chemistry if I only have a B.A. in chemistry?

My school required us to take general chemistry lab for 1 year, organic chemistry lab for 1 year, analytical chemistry for 1 year (including instrumental), physical chemistry for 1 year. Beyond this I have done 2 research papers that have been published. My gpa is not the greatest, but my chemsitry gpa is better than my general education added to it, doesn't make sense I know, its near a 3.0 so im hoping it will be enough. I still have to take both GRE, the regular one and subjective one, but I hope to do well on both.

That is actually the normal way of doing things. Some people will go for a masters first, but it isn't necessary.

It is possible to go straight from a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (or another science) into a PhD program without a Master's degree but it will require at least one of the following:

1) Several additional hours of coursework in chemistry. At least 30 to 40 hours.

2) Extreme competence and a very high GPA. In other words a near genius.

It depends totally on the university and program.
I know CalTech will mmake you do the PhD without the master but some require the master before the PhD
