How to delete personal stuff on a locked computer!!?

Question

So I have a boyfriend that loves taking pictures and videow during sex! I've tried breaking up with him and the first thing that he say is Im going to upload all your pics and vids online! He absolutly does NOT want me to touch his computer, so I cant delete them! I've heard if you put a magnet on the computer the hard drive will be destroyed. Is this true, and if so how does this work?? Or if you'll have any other advise on destroying all these documents with out destroying the computer it self?? Thanks for all your help!

Your best bet is to steal the HDD when you break up.  Find one exactly like it on ebay and swap them out.

more than likely if he feels this is his main bargaining tool for stopping you from leaving him it's a fair bet he has backups on cd/dvd or some other form of removable storage.

a magnet wouldn't work for wiping the hard drive unless you have access to an industrial electromagnet - it would be easier and quicker to just remove the side of the case and take out the hard drive, why bother with subtlety if you're being blackmailed?

Honestly,  I would ask a lawyer with experience in computer law for advice.  This is TO important to screw around with.  If nothing else ask a law professor at the local university.

I'm a bit amused at this - it's what you get for engaging in promiscuous behavior. It comes out.

Anyways, "legally" he'd be in a bit of trouble unless you've given him a disclaimer saying that he can post the pictures of your face, but good luck enforcing that.
