Hi guys... I enjoy making little dreamy melancholy videos for songs... with the permission of the singer/band , of course.
I was wondering if you knew a website, blog, some place where I could 'promote' my videos. I have myspace, 2000 friends almost, and I do leave videos as embedded comments...
any other suggestion? thanks in advance.

The best thing to do is make your video get higher rankings first off. This would include doing excellent tagging. Then before you send it to one site go to tubemogul.com or videogeiser.com
These sites upload it to every video place on the web. Giving you better exposure. Then get a free program called Commentkahuna. what this does is let you comment on blogs without having to search for them it is a life saver. Get it going and then search for the genre of music you are promoting and comment on blogs and in the bottom leave your video link. Even if this doesn't bring clicks this way it is building backlinks to the video. Google has a new way it ranks videos. Because it owns Youtube now it uses something called "universal search". Meaning if you video has a higher ranking than say a webpage about the band or that tag your are promoting it will rank higher in the organic search bringing the video higher than the webpages.
Another thing you might want to do is download another free program called friendblaster. What this does is lets you add thousands of friends at one time. You put in your search query of the type of friend you want to add and it will search all the people that like that same thing. You will be able to add thousands of friends fast. Then you can send out a mass email to them and tell them to check out your video. This will build a fanbase pretty fast. Then you can promote your own video making talents to other bands with this same process.
Next thing you know your on MTV.
