How to stay 'happy' when the daylight time gets shorter?

I hate the shorter days- is there a way to beat the blues that come with less daylight?

Try decorating your house in bright and brilliant colors, take down dark and dreary drapes for the winter months. Keep all your windows open during all daylight hours. If you have the wall space, you might enjoy a nice mural of a bright sunny beach. (It'd also be a really awesome project, to complete in the darker parts of the day, to keep you occupied and happy).

Have a nice winter--- remember--- without winter, spring wouldn't be so springy and summer would suck totally cos it'd be even hotter.

I got four of the "daylight" compact fluorescent lights from www.bulbtown.com. I got the highest wattage bulbs they have (the CFL's don't take up much power) and have all four in the ceiling of my workarea (where I have the computer and stereo). It's pretty bright - but it really helps keep me cheered up in the winter months.

Best of Luck to you :-)
Paul.

Get a light box. Studies show that at least 30 minutes of being exposed to a light therapy box every morning reduces depression and anxiety. Also, take vitamin B complex.

Get a mini trampoline for your lounge room or exercise bike, exercise sets off endorphins. Watch you fav program while doing it and you wont notice the time. Or watch a sexy movie then you will really feel good!
