A NRI friend is trying to apply for PAN card online. He has the U.S. address. When he selects Credit Card Option, and selects U.S., he is unable to use it.
Any help?
Many firms in India do provide PAN card service for foreigners and NRIs. They do not need to be present in India to apply for the PAN card.
These firms get PAN at their own address in India and then mail by courier to the foreign address.

Issue of PAN Card is one of the requirement for the IT Assessees of India. As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no online facility for applying for PAN from US.
The PAN Applicant should possess local Residential proof of Address duly attested by Gazetted Officer.
If the NRI wants to have PAN Specifically, When he comes to India ahe can apply as per PAN procedure and acknowledgement number can be obtained through internet.
I think, the possibility is nil

For applying PAN u have to give residential address of INDIA. So may be its not possible to apply.
