For public speaking, I need some ideas for a persuasive speech. The speech is going to be 6-8 minutes... Any ideas?

Hi, choose a controversial issue and pick some arguments for/against it. Examples:
elections, abortion, the death penalty, rights...or, to be less radical, children's education (and what they should teach in schools), some arguments on food and its contents, gas prices...anything, really.
