Have you heard about Obama's upcoming speech on race?

Tomorrow he's planning to address the Wright issue and speak in a larger context to race. I'm VERY interested in not only what he has to say, but in the manner he presents himself.

Although I support Hillary, I have never discredited Obama and have often defended him against obvious smears. I want this election to be about the issues and not the superficial BS that the media loves. Part of the reason I initially supported Obama was the idealism of his campaign and his idea of cooperation. Through research I came to believe Hillary is the better candidate to bring that change, but that's where we may disagree. However I have been dismayed lately at the negative tone he has taken (himself or through David Plouffe).

Obama says he wants to be a "force for reconciliation." His words tomorrow will be a clue to whether that is true. If he takes the high road (as I believe Hillary did with the Wright situation) and stays positive, he may just earn my vote....

Update:

Bug and bereal...that's exactly what I'm interested in finding out. If this is political BS then I'm solidifying my support for somebody else, but this (to me) is his chance to show that he truly does 'rise above it' as his campaign often claims. I hope he does, I WANT to believe in the guy!

I think he should answer some tough questions not a written speech.

He has already been accusing Hillary of hiding things today, to try and take pressure off of his current situation by refueling that he is asking for her Tax Refund, Earmark, and record of donors list for Bill Clinton's Presidential Library. He is pulling off as was said before Kenneth Starr tactics to try and diffuse his own fiasco by negative campaigning toward Hillary which he told her 4 days ago before the Wright scandal was brought up that he would not do when they made an agreement to stick to the issues and not veer down a road that would further divide the Democratic Party. Looks, like every time Obama gets in trouble he and his supporters are going to pull the "yeah, but look what that guy is doing" defense. Do we really need someone like that in office, someone who would not be accountable for their mistakes and try and repair them. As for him asking for Hillary's documents will he release full disclosure of his relationship with Tony Rezko?

He has already stated his view on Wright (which I don't believe) and now he is continuing to talk about it? He needs to drop it and move on in the campaign and let the media play it up.....I was not going to vote for him so the Wright thing has not pushed me one way or another except it just makes me believe even more what type of person Obama is. Which is anti-american!

What could he say ? I am sorry I have been listening to this hater of whites and America for twenty years, or i never knew he thought these things or I don't believe everything Pastor Wright says?Just the good part. He is just my Mentor? Yes, It will be interesting cause there is really nothing he can say cause what is done is done. He cannot take it back. I don't trust him anymore. Be careful. He is a deceiver.

I think it will be interesting to see how explains away his relationship with Wright or rationalizes it or if he really says anything at all. But I like you are interested in the delivery, his tone or manner he presents it more than anything.

I will be sure to watch!

One thing to be considered though is that majority of Hispanics, American Asians, Blue Collar Workers and the Gay/Lesbian communities and many African Americans support Hillary.

It will be interesting to see the new poll #s!

Give me a break... This is the guy whose running on the "bipartisan" issue and bringing both sides together but when you look at his record he has NEVER voted in a bipartisan way and although been ask to work in a bipartisan capacity has declined every time... Nothing but well rehearsed and eloquently delivered Rhetoric...

But...he says one thing for a period of time, then says he doesn't agree. I think he is just like any other politican, lying when it suits their needs. I researched him long ago, & made up my mind then. Anything he says now, is probably a lie in one form of another.

I won't watch. He's running for President. Of course he's going to make a long speech filled with a bunch of BS to help his chances of being elected. He has too much on the line. Truth came out already.
