What is the default folder for MicroSoft 'Word' in XP?

Sorry, my bad. I meant where is the 'Word.exe' executable located at to start the program so she can make a shortcut on her desktop for easy access. Hope that makes sense

It is probably on the desktop or in the program files in the file called "Microsoft Office" . If you cannot find it, use the search in the start menu and search for "WINWORD.EXE"

There are two ways. By default, Word uses the "My Documents" folder, and you can move and or rename the My Documents folder by right clicking it. The other way is from within word, under "options" there's a "file locations" tab. Just browse or enter it there.

WINWORD.EXE is normally installed in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11

My Documents is where all the documents are saved to by default.
