Huevo's band of the day?

Along with Superchunk, Polvo, and Ben Folds Five, the Archers of Loaf helped put Chapel Hill, North Carolina on the indie rock map back in the early 90's. Listen to the clips and feel free to comment.

And for poops and giggles, a criminally underrated track from Eric Bachmann's later band Crooked Fingers.

Edit: Great to hear Olive, it's all about spreading the word. There's some great people out there I've learned a lot of bands from too.

Edit: Peaches, I've never heard of a loquat before but I'll take your word. They look super tasty!

It was pretty cool. I liked the Crooked Fingers song. Thanks for sharing, keep it up! (I'm completely in love with Red House Painters now thanks to you) =)

I REALLY liked the 3rd Archers song! The 1st was catchy too.

The Crooked Fingers song was interesting. Sounded like Neil Diamond singing to banjo chamber music.

Thanks for those :)

Hey Dude.

Yeah I remember them pretty good, having lived in Salisbury NC for 7 years. Not really my preferred sound, but good.

BTW Eggman? kumquats < loquats. True Story.
