Why is it that your God is so much better than everyone else's God?
I read the R & S section and try to answer questions fairly and honestly. I am amazed at the amount of one sided angry statements about other peoples religions. I am not picking on any one religious belief. I see it from all sorts of different religions and non-religions. Is it necessary to denigrate an other persons belief?

My Goddess is perfect for me. She may not be a good choice for others.
Hi Bill, I can only agree with some of the other answers given here - My God is no better or worse than everyone else's because I believe there is only the one. To me the only thing that is different is how we worship our God, and I don't really think that matters as much as what we all may believe. Of course I may be wrong, and I am sure there are many out there that would not agree, but I don't really mind. Denigrating someone else's religion just doesn't make any sense to me. It's just being disrespectful.
There are so many religions, but we all believe in one God. Most of the religions that is. Others, well they have a right to believe what they want. What we know is true to our heart is what's right for us. I personally believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for our sins.
No it's not necessary to condescend someone else's belief.
We all basically have one common denominator. GOD.
Mine is a shrubbery. To him, there is no sin. Sounds great so far, doesn't it? Unfortunately, to him there is no righteousness either. Really, there is nothing. That's what makes hims so great. You don't have to worry about being ashamed in his presence. On the flip side you'll never be congratulated by him for doing what's perceived as good. I respect that you try to answer questions fairly and honestly, and I wish more people were like that.
It is sad that we cannot have a conversation about Religion without getting "hate mail" replies. I know that a lot of us, if not all of us, have strong beliefs but that should not make it impossible for us to listen to each other. I once asked my father (a Baptist minister) what he thought about other religions. He said: "Truth is Truth where ever it comes from. Listen to everyone and weigh the information you get."
