Tax refund question..?

Question

I efiled 1/19, accepted 1/20, should have gotten a DD 1/30 (or 2/3 at latest), no deposit came. Then on 2/4 the WMR site changed to still processing ... reference code 1301. I have called the IRS several times and have been told differen things. I do know that the code is "delay in return process". The last rep told me (on 2/18) that my return "had been" in error resolution dept but now had a "supervisor suspend" notation on it. does anyone know what this means. I have filed the same way for many yrs, nothing new, I did not claim anything on the stimulas meaning I was not getting any more then I already got back, I have went over my return and can't find any mistakes. What could the "supervisor suspend mean".

Hey...I know you and I have been going through the same thing for a while.  You are probably getting more money back.  Which was the reason in my case.  I called the other day and they were finally able to give me a DD date.  Im thinking that its very possible that you will get yours next week.  Just diligently call them and keep on their you know what.  Keep us updated.

Means an actual IRS representative is going over your tax file. Usually this happens if the IRS automated system finds an error on your return. It spits its out a copy for a Rep to look over manually.

Errors isn't nessasary caused by you ... but your employer. If your employer has file/submitted on their end incorrect information, the IRS will hold any/all refunds until the error has been noted and corrected. It happened to me a few years back ... my employer at the time submitted the wrong 1099 form in my name and social security no. 

This could also mean a huge delay in you refund. Once the error is corrected, your return starts back at Phase 1 ... which means waiting an additional 3 week for your refund after the IRS has corrected the problem, and there is no time limits specified on return corrections. A correction can take anywhere from a day to months from what I heard.

It means the tax return popped out of the system and a human being has to find time to look at it.  Since tens of thousands of returns popped out of the system (the IRS fraud programs are also in full swing again), it has to wait it's turn at the service center.
