What fantasies do you think "Exposing Catholicism" used to conjure up the catholic-babylon worship accusation?
The yahoo answers user, "Exposing Catholicism" accuses Catholic worship as being parallel to the ancient Babylonian belief system.
In his words... "Catholicism is not christian it nothing more than old babylonian nimrod worship masked as christian! Semiramus= The Catholic Mary Tammuz= The Catholic Jesus Nimrod=Pontifax Maximus (all Catholic Popes)!!!"
While outrageous claims against Christ's Church are nothing new to me and the other Catholic R&S regulars, this as got to be the strangest one I've heard yet! How do you think "Exposing Catholicism" conjured up such fantasies? What "proof" do you think he/she mentally uses? Or do you think he/she just randomly thought up a new way to bigot Christ's Church?

We must remember, of course, that Christ told us that this would happen, that we would be persecuted for keeping His commandments and belonging to His Church. He also promised that blessed are we who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness (8th beatitude), so every time I hear someone say something against Catholicism, I just add it to my ever growing pile of blessings.
About what one would expect to hear from idiots. AS much hate as that person spews there is no way shape or form there Christian..As for Suzanne army of one i have no idea where if you actually read the early Church Fathers writings you could remotely make the claim you made. It was from reading those writings and by the way i have in my possession the 4 Volumes of the anti Nicene Fathers. If by any Chance you read this i'll leave a paragraph here from the Great Saint Ignatius a Student of St.John the Apostle written around 107Ad to the Symraeons..........See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful without the bishop either to baptize or to celebrate a love-feast; but whatsoever he shall approve of, that is also pleasing to God, so that everything that is done may be secure and valid....Really sounds Catholic to me....
God made the world good so why is there so much evil?
The Catholic Church has many rituals I don't understand and people in the Church are sinners and 100% of them do not make me feel welcome, and many cannot answer my questions. (They should say welcome, I will take you to our leader, unless they know the Bible & Catechism. http://www.vatican.va/archive/bible/index.htm )
Therefore, I will brainstorm why there is evil in the world, especially since my immediate ancestors have said very bad things about Catholics. I will take my Bible, which is missing books, and see how they contradict passages ... there they call a priest father, and no man can be called father according to the literal interpretation of Jesus, etc.
So the brain stormers have predicted there is evil and are looking for the self fulfilling prophecy of why there is evil. They put the Church under the magnifying glass and in a number of generations with a little history, they interpret the Bible not according to history and tradition, but according to what their minds think (which is god.) They bear false witness and don't look closely at the counterarguments and they don't look at the Catholic explanation of evil in the world.
Most Catholics in certain areas don't know their faith. Some are scandalized when confronted with such nonsense and some leave for one of the 40,000+ Chruches that have sprung up since the reformation. And if they tithe the Church gets 10% of the income which can add up quick.
Consider the sources he uses: Hislop,etc Expo needs to use primary sources such as the Catechism of the Catholic Church in context and the the Councils,etc
I've heard father corapi say that things are only going to get worse, before they get any better. Even within the Church there is disunity. When the pope issued his encyclical on human life, (I forget the name exactly) there were about 56 or more catholic bishops who protested it. When you have this sort of dissension among catholic bishops, who of all people, should support the pope, what can we expect from our protestant brethren? The pope said life begins at conception. the world says whats in the womb prior to birth is an abstract mass of flesh. The bible says of Elizabeth's babe still in the womb that when Mary approached them , carrying the baby Jesus in her womb, that Elizabeth's baby leaped for joy!! The bible calls it a baby. This one issue, of abortion, is going to bring down the wrath of God upon our nation. It is already begun. Persecutions will get worse!! Economic crisis will continue to worsen, Government control will continue to grow and grabbing more power over us, moral havoc will become steadily on the decline, abuses in the church, more scandals, dissensions, family discord, and so on. God is not an disinterested onlooker of the goings on of mankind. Jesus, who is the truth, is being denied, ignored, and disinterested people, who care less about abortion, are not upholding the truth, each christian, must stand up for the truth, that life is sacred, life is not dispensable, and until we all agree with this truth, more persecutions will be allowed by God , and why not? We have turned our backs on him, He cannot protect a nation of bystanders voting in pro abortion candidates, and not speaking out for the most vulnerable state of human life that exists today. Exposing Catholicism, for the fact that her own members voted for obama. What is their problem? They got the truth. But have exchanged it for the lie!
