So I think I just have to cat killer curse... what do you think?

OK.. Don't get all PETA on me or anything as I am not meaning for anything to happen to the kitties I try to adopt. I want a pet, a pet cat to be exact, but I seriously think that I have a curse that will not allow me to actually keep one. Here is my story.
When I was about 8 years old I brought a kitten home with me on my walk home form school. Spooky was his name. He was an awesome little kitty, used to brush my hair with his claws at night. We moved out on a country road and Spooky decided that in the middle of that road was a good place to sleep. It was not! Needless to say I returned home as my dad was cleaning up the mess that was once Spooky and I was devestated.
We moved back into the city years later (about 14 now) and my friend brought me a little gray kitty as a present. Some how the kitten got outside and we never saw it again. For a while I was done with cats, until I got my own apartment and my neighbors cats had kittens. There was a beautiful cream colored tiger who just strolled right up to me and I knew that was the kitty for me. Within two months Honey was sick, throwing up everywhere. I took her to an emergency vet who diagnosed Honey with FIV and put her to sleep. What a sad day that was. So within a month or two I got Pumpkin and Shadow. Pumpkin got into a poisonous plant (those things should come with warnings) and ended up being severlly messed up from it. I moved back into my parents house to go back to college and Shadow and Pumpkin both got out. I searched and searched and posted pics and looked at the shelter but they were just GONE!!!
Fast foward a few more years. My daughter was born. And my aunts kitty had babies. So I adopted Sweetie, and within a week a big metal fan fell on her when we were out and we came home to find her dead. Then there was Tigger and No Name. No name is said to have escaped while I was at work and Tigger got out months later. I got him back after a week or so but he wasn't the same. Just kept peeing on himself and wouldn't leave the window sill. About a week later my boyfriend opened are door up and Tigger fled. I tried to get Tigger back but he was just GONE! No one had seen him at all. A year later I decided that this is it. I really want a pet cat and I found the perfect little kitty on Craigslist. My bf and I had just moved into a nice big home and I love pets. My sister has a cat and a dog, my mom has a cat and a dog. Why can't I?? So I make the drive and adopt the kitty. Within a week it is next to my stove dead. No reason, no blood, no vomit. Nothing! Just this past month I got another kitty and the same thing. Just dead within a few days! We pulled out our stove where Squeaker was playing and we found rat poisoning. I am greatful that we rarely let our daughter in the kitchen and am very upset that this poison was in the house but what is going on with me?? Why can I not keep a pet??? Seriously am I cursed????????????????????????????

Supposed to be the cat killer curse, not to. Just noticed.

that is some really rotten luck! I can't think of anything that may have caused all your cats to behave like this.

It might be a bit out there but if you think you might actually be cursed then it might be worth trying to get in touch with a medium who could see if there's something attached to you causing this.

Might be worth a shot! Whatever happens I hope your luck changes and you get to enjoy a kitty soon!

Cruelty to animals is considered an early warning sign that someone is a sociopath. Lighting fires is also an early warning sign. Sociopathy is frightening stuff but it's possible that 1 out of 25 people is a sociopath (not all of whom are violent, much less serial killers). It's possible that the Dad has similar tendencies... I don't know how much research there is on the genetic aspects of it .... but my observation is that you can see it in famillies. All in all I would stay far away. There's a ruthlessness to sociopaths that is breathtaking in its cruelty, If challenged, they will destroy.

Oh no... that's so insane and terrible!!! I'm very sorry that you're having a curse or wtf it's called. I believe in this thing because I always will break any glass on picture frame every time I touched it and if I think of something arrogant and 'I won't do that thing!" then it will happen. Like thinking "I won't get in a car accident!" Then the next day I got in a serious car accident. "I won't sprain my ankle anyway!" in my thoughts. Then few min later I sprained my ankle really badly. I have to be very careful around picture frames at guests' house (I broke someone else's wedding picture glass!!!) and remove all glasses out of my picture frames, and not to think of something so positive. Maybe it's not best for you to have a cat or kitten to avoid any more dying around you. Try to get a dog instead? BE EXTRA CAREFUL!! Again, I am deeply sorry for you!

You poor thing! I had a case of the same curse for a while... First kitten got feline leukemia and died. Second ran off and got hit by a car. I waited for YEARS before I got another cat. A house has to be looked over thoroughly before letting a kitten roam. They will get into everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. I have found my kittens sleeping in dresser drawers, closets, doll beds, and other weird places.
Large items need to be secured because cats will jump up on anything, sometimes causing large objects to fall over, possibly injuring the cat on impact. We put wax paper sheets on the edges of our kitchen counters to keep my cat from jumping up on them. (I can't have animals on my kitchen counters. That's just gross.) It didn't hurt her, just deterred her from jumping on them.
Were any of your runaway cats spayed or neutered? That helps to curb the need to roam.
I hope you have better luck in the future with cats.

Whoa... that's some horrible luck you have. Maybe you should wait a while (to ease the distress and heart ache of your recent losses) before getting another cat. Wait until the end of summer then look into a new fury friend.
